Resting his head over his folded knees, Noah was crouching down on the cold floor while his stomach grumbling noise reverberated inside the spacious room. As time passed by, his hunger contractions were growing severe as well as making his throat parched dry of thirst.

Lifting his head up, he could only helplessly glance at the bowl of fresh ripped peaches on the shelf at the corner of the room from afar. Not to mention, the alluring sweet scent further provoked his hunger since he always liked to savor ripened peaches. But now even when he was starved so badly, despite being fruits present within his reach, he couldn't muster his courage to take them, ignoring Xanthus's command.

He also found a big glass jar of water next to the bowl of peaches which made him understand it was all his strategy to torture him. After knowing that he was badly starving, Xanthus ordered him to stay alone in the room with food and water, despite forbidding him from touching them.
