48 Broken On The Inside

While Princess Sophia was still slightly shedding tears and staring at Ronald's back, she couldn't help but look back at the half eaten fish she was still holding on her hands and started to think about what Ronald had told her.

'If that fish's fate was meant to die on that exact same day on that exact same day no matter what it tried to do... would you go against the odds or would you just accept your fate?'

'I chose the latter half, you see... I'm destined to die sooner or later anyways.'

'It's cause of Ye Fan.'

Hypothetically speaking, let's say that Ronald meant it in a literal sense, and he did somehow know that Ye Fan was going to kill him sooner or later, and that he couldn't do anything about it, how would Ye Fan even kill him?

With how strong Ronald was, let alone Ye Fan, even if all of the four gods of wars in the Western World teamed up together in order to hunt Ronald down, they wouldn't be able to scratch him, let alone kill him.

The only person Princess Sophia could think of on the top of her head that could compete with Ronald in terms of speed and strength was that guy...

The one who held the title of 'Dragon King' back in the Western World...

So clearly Ronald didn't mean that Ye Fan was literally going to murder him sooner or later.

And besides, it was impossible for Ronald to know about his fate anyways.

So instead of taking what Ronald had meant in a literal sense, what else could he have meant when he said that he was destined to die sooner or later because of Ye Fan?

After thinking about it for a while however, Princess Sophia started to connect the dots together.

'Could it be that...'

'That same Ronald who always oozed with confidence no matter the predicament he was in...'

'Was actually thinking about committing suicide?'

Princess Sophia felt like the more and more she thought about it, the more reasonable and logical it sounded.

What if the reason why Ronald had a grudge against Ye Fan but couldn't kill him even though he wanted to was because Ye Fan had something that Ronald really wanted to get his hands on but wouldn't be able to get even if he killed him.

So what was that 'something' that Princess Sophia was talking about?

It was clearly a women.

What if Ronald had actually loved a girl for a really long time now, however due to some unforeseen circumstances, that girl ended up falling in love with Ye Fan instead?

Obviously, since Ronald didn't know who Ye Fan was, he absolutely despised Ye Fan for taking the heart of a girl he had loved for a really long time now, and even wanted to kill him.

However, Ronald knew that if he killed Ye Fan, the girl still wouldn't love him back, and not only that, but he would make the girl who he had loved become extremely depressed because he killed Ye Fan, the person who the girl had fallen in love with.

And of course, Ronald wouldn't want to make that girl sad if he truly loved her...

But since Ronald was extremely broken on the inside since he knew he couldn't do anything about it, he decided that he was just going to commit suicide later on.

That was the 'fate' that Ronald gave to himself after realizing that whatever he did was futile.

And as for when Ronald was going to commit suicide?

Most likely right after Ronald goes to a wedding and witnesses the love of his life officially get together with Ye Fan.

Princess Sophia knew that this was most likely the case since some of the romantic novels she had been reading during her free time had some kind of tragic ending similar to this.

Anyways, after thinking about it for a little while more, Princess Sophia couldn't help but go to the opposite side of Ronald's bed where he was facing at, and saw a peaceful face that Ronald was making while he was asleep.

'Despite the fact that Ronald is always so relaxed on the outside, he is actually broken on the inside.'

After Princess Sophia took a few more good looks at Ronald's sleeping face, Princess Sophia came to a conclusion.

'I know that you feel like you have nothing else to live for in this world after everything that has happened to you...'

'However I'll show to you that there is so much more things to live for in this life.'

'I promise that I won't let your life end in a tragedy.'

'So please, don't leave this world.'

'I love you...'
