An eventful club meeting {P2}

(1st Person POV)

'That cloud looks like a pillow.'

I thought in my mind as I looked at the sky. I have no interest in hearing the president's speech. The moment he said 

"We are going to take a short trip around Seoul."

I started to tune out all of the other things as I looked at the cloud. While I was daydreaming, a palm suddenly appear in front of my face, trying to slap me. I then take a step back to dodge the slap while slurping on my chocolate milk using the straw. An angry Chae Nayun look at me with her usual disdainful scowl

"You bastard, I was partnered up with you! Did you hear me!"

She said with an angry tone as I look at her blankly while putting the straw on my lower lip

"Oh..."

A short 'oh' unintentionally escaped my mouth as I looked at her blankly. Then, before she can shout at me and attract more attention from other cadets, the president's timid voice can be heard.

"*Cough* Alright, since all of the cadets have their own partner we will start our orientation now!"

After the president said that three portal operator appears and hand out a seal. Based on what I learnt the seal will resonate with the portal and take you to Seoul. Neat.

I wonder, will they have a candy store near the museum. I am suddenly craving for a mint candy. Then my former desk mate grumpy voice snap me out of my thoughts

"Alright, let's go! If we stand like a pair of poles, we are wasting our time! We have to return to this location by seven. Be quick!"

I heard Chae Nayun annoyed voice as she enter the portal. I can only shrug my shoulders as I say something in my mind

'She is always mad at me. I don't even know why? Did I do something wrong? Why didn't she tell me if something is wrong? Women are such a complicated creature. What a drag.'

I sighed softly before entering the portal. As I entered the portal a pitch black sight greets me and a strange feelings enveloped my whole body. After a few moments, the surrounding change into a futuristic city of Seoul.

'Woah... That is creepy yet cool at the same time.'

I mentally thought with an impressed face as I take a couple of steps and stand beside my grumpy partner. While I was marvelling at the portal the president's timid voice can be heard once more

"Since this is the orientation, you guys will not be required to write a report. You guys can go wherever you want as a pair but please be back at the Cube Portal Station at 7. The pair that are late will be given a penalty."

More of useless information have made it's way into my brain as I just spin the empty carton with a blank face. With that final warning from the president the cadets start to walk away in pair. I follow Chae Nayun from behind as I don't have any clear destinations in my mind. After a few seconds she turned to look at me

"What are you doing?"

She said that while a disdainful scowl is on her face. I only whistle as I look at her face and reply to her with a smile

"Can't you see? I am following my annoyed partner."

Upon hearing my words her body tense up like a cat trying to intimidate other cat. She then hiss at me with a frown

"Can't you stop being lazy and a jerk for at least one day!?"

I only shrug my shoulders after I heard her reply. Which earned me a deepened frown on her face. Then she start to walk away

'It's kind of fun messing with her. She's like a stray cat whose reaction is always hostile to people and other cats. Now that I think about it, am I a masochist for enjoying a hostile reaction from a girl?'

I unintentionally grin at the absurd thought.

(Chae Nayun POV)

Tachibana Shou is a pain

'The guy has been following me for the past thirty minutes! He is so annoying! Why did I get paired up with him! DAMN IT!'

I shout mentally while scratching my head which earned me a few weird looks from other people.

'Who cares about looks from other people when you have a massive pain in the back!!!'

I hastened my pace as I walk before a hand suddenly grab the back of my collar and pull it causing me to choke on my saliva. I then look at the perpetrator who manhandled me.

Tachibana Shou.

"There's a candy shop here, let's go inside!"

The prick said to me with his usual relaxed voice while still holding my collar like I am some kind of animal before dragging me inside the candy shop. I frown as I enter the shop while wiggling around trying to break free from his grip.

"Let me go or I will kill you, you jerk!"

I hissed quietly at him while looking at him with a scowl. After hearing my threat, he just let go of my collar and look at me with his annoying smile

"Sure, but don't run away though. The president said to move in pairs."

He said to me with his casual tone as I only grunted and corrected my collar. He then start to walk away probably trying to find his chocolate.

'Why do I need to follow his order!? I know what I am doing! He is such a pain to deal with!'

I mentally shout in my mind while I walk outside of the candy shop and lean on the wall with a frown, leaving me alone with my thoughts

'I know that I have no place to be so arrogant and haughty to him after being beaten by him in the sparring match, but I don't know why, he always made me angry just by communicating with him. I might be thinking to deeply but I felt like he may be intentionally did it to annoy me.'

After the thought a sudden revelation comes into my mind and I unconsciously gasp

*Gasp*

'Did he perhaps do it on purpose to get my attention? No, no, no. That's impossible. Let's not bear such suspicions.'

I can feel my cheek heat up slightly and my mouth curl upwards a little bit. I cover my lower face area using my hand as I continue my delusional thoughts

'But there's a chance that he indeed do it to get my attention. If the day comes where he confess... No! Absolutely not! Don't go too far Nayun!'

I scold myself for having such a absurd thought about that insufferable jerk. Speak of devil, the prick comes out of the store with a bag of full of candy on his left hand and a pink cotton candy on his right hand. He then look at me with a smile

"Oh, you're here? I thought I need to go to the museum to find you. Let's go then!"

The piece of shit said with his usual tone before walking away leaving me behind. I can feel veins bulging on my forehead as I follow him from behind

'This is the guy who I thought he may have a crush on me! You truly are stupid Chae Nayun. His annoying behaviour is not to attract your attention but because he is just an asshole!'

I cursed him in my mind as I follow him from behind to the museum with an irritated grunt.
