36 Sword Technique
Geniuses.
In fantastical medieval stories geniuses are capable of casting magic that could destroy an entire kingdom.
In cultivation stories geniuses are capable of destroying the mountains, splitting the seas, rendering the skies with their sword.
And etc...
These are what you called geniuses. The top of the top. Talented people are huge in numbers, but not many can be called a genius.
Then, what is above a genius?
A monster. An irregularity.
One that is out of the norm, only a couple few people are qualified to be in this category.
In this generation. A lot these so called geniuses are sprouting all over the world with a talent that can surpass those from the old ones.
It was called as the 'Hundred Year Gap' meaning that the talents they possess are a hundred times more better than the talent people had hundred years ago.
Ren, Natasha, Rena, Luke, the prince and the other capture targets in their age group are also part of this 'Hundred Year Gap'.
In the story. Their generation is called: The generation of monsters.
Literally just like how it's named, this generation is full of geniuses like no other. Furthermore, quite a few individuals with monstrous talent will appear.
The heroine, especially. If nothing goes wrong, she will be the one leading this generation together with the prince and the other capture targets.
However, that is only based in the original story. Ren and Natasha's actions will inevitably affect this.
Whether this is good or bad. No one knows.

"You have already learned quite thoroughly. How about we review from scratch today? If I'm satisfied, I'll finally teach you a sword technique." Freya smile before picking up a wooden sword.
"Okay." Ren nodded while holding his own wooden sword.
The spar started.
"What is the first step again?"
"Balance. A swordsman must learn to control his center of gravity."
Properly defending Freya's sword, Ren remained his balance without even faltering back for a little.
"Next?" Freya started getting faster.
"Have a good stance and footwork. So you won't be overwhelmed in battle, that way you can defend and counter." Ren breezily blocked Freya's attack with his footwork on point
"Good... how about this."
"...distance. A swordsman must calculate the distance a sword can reach. A sword is an extension of ones body.
Freya suddenly thrusted her sword, but Ren only moved his head back a little, resulting for her to miss.
"Hmm. Pretty good! Then... this one."
Freya moved so fast that it left afterimages. She then attacked him from all sides.
Ren defended her attacks, but some still went through.
"Ah!" Ren rubbed his head before saying: "A swordsman's intuition, senses or whatever it is called. It can only be learned through years of practice. It is capable of reading the opponents attacks intuitively."
"You still need more practice. Finally, this one..." Freya with a beautiful stance moved with graceful and enchanting movements. It's as if she was one with the world, as her sword fluttered towards him.
*Swoosh*
An incredible amount of wind force almost blasted him. If she didn't stop right before it hits his face, who knows what will happen to him.
"Sword technique, the one which I currently don't have." Ren said, impressed.
"Fufu... come here. Let's start practicing." Freya chuckled.

Fire Magic. Dark Magic. Ren was not only practicing his lightning magic and his swordsmanship, but also started his two other elements.
"Your imagination is quite rich. It'll be easier to teach you." Amaterasu said, satisfied.
"Well... I guess so." Ren nodded, he already learned magic with his lightning element. Hence, understanding the other two was easy for him.
What he needed is to learn their properties in which he already have the gist of it. Then, create his own magic, and level his comprehension.
But he have to say, he learned a lot with Amaterasu's teaching. The capability, the limit, the possibility and etc... that each element can do. The basic concepts.
Amaterasu even taught him how to combine elements.
Although Amaterasu's main elements was fire and darkness. She also posses a very wide knowledge and understanding of the lightning element.
Since Ren was already quite capable, what he concentrated on learning was the combination of magic. There are a lot of implications when two or more different elements collide, and Amaterasu taught him how to deal with it.
He also have noticed that every night he keeps dreaming about a certain beautiful white haired goddess.

"There are no upcoming events. I'll have to wait until canon started."
Ren mumbled while flipping through his small notebook.
Then, suddenly, he recalled something when he saw the content of a certain page.
"...Deitrich AshemaDeva." Ren continued flipping page by page.
"I see, I recall it clearly now. Three years before the canon started someone from the other side, a royale demon to be specific is going to be sold as a slave. Her name is Deitrich AshemaDeva. Due to the rebellion she was crippled(her magic) and was somehow found by humans.
In truth, after she escaped using a teleportation magic that could transfer the user to the other side, she was exhausted. And as a cripple she couldn't resist.
It was good she wasn't sold as a sex slave because her face was burned. If her face still had remained, I'm afraid with her charm and beauty the humans who found her won't even dare to think of selling her, and instead keep her to themselves.

However,
Dark element. The opposite of the light. Later in the story the concept between the two has been discovered, they are actually closely related.
The concept: Light is the absence of darkness. Darkness is the absence of light.
They are interchangeable, it could be said that what the light can do, the darkness can also do it, and vice versa.
What if you control the light to disappear? It's darkness. (Light element)
What if you control the darkness to disappear? It's light. (Dark element)

AN: Next Chapter is another time skip. Oh, and you might have noticed, I have only introduced women in the novel, quite a lot in fact. Well, it's because there will be a lot of men that is going to be introduced after the canon started. This novel/game is an Otome game after all.
But since we have Ren as the MC. Of course, I'll have to introduce a lot of women.
