"Yes, my lord,"the secretary murmured with a glimmer of pity, her gaze lingering on the screen where Ch'oe Minhaw's fate was sealed.

She knew he had been cast aside, left to wither away in the shadows of his family's towering empire.

In the end, his once-enviable status would crumble, reduced to naught but a prisoner in the cold embrace of steel

Inside the hotel room, the curtains were drawn back, allowing moonlight to filter in through the window.
