3 Network Expansion and Acquisitions (2/2)

I was called to the Late-Night Show and my parents were happy that I was being invited to the show. So, they decided to tune in for the night. I booked the suite at the nearby Marriott and enjoying life.

"Hello, Conan. Nice to meet you." I shook hands with Conan and he greeted me back. "It's, good to meet you too Sam." He said and I nodded. I looked to the side and saw some famous people which made me smile. "Hello, Eminem. A big fan of your stuff." I said and he nodded with a smile.

"Everyone welcome Samuel James Witwicky, the second richest man." He said and I waved my hand. "How old are you, Sam?" Conan asked and I smirked. "Well, you should have done your research. Otherwise, what kind of a show host are you?" I asked and everyone chuckled as Conan was stunned. But he smiled. "That was a good one."

"So second richest. How does that feel?" He asked and I thought for a few minutes. "Not much different. Money does give you happiness however only momentarily. How much wealth you have is determined by the impact you have made. Have you made someone smile? Then be proud of yourself. Every time you help someone, you have made an impact in the world. I have money, I agree. But what do I spend it on?" I asked and Conan tried coming up with a comeback.

"Nothing. Because there is nothing to spend on. Buy a car and do what? I am not old enough to drive. Buy an airplane? Done it. Don't need another one. So now I spend my days creating games, investing money in assets, and well the same thing. Well, I do enjoy a good workout as you can see." I said as I flexed my biceps for a bit. Conan and Eminem chuckled and the interview proceeded smoothly.

"Do you have a social life?" Conan asked and I thought for a bit. "Well, for starters I do enjoy what I do. Make games. When I first created Angry Birds and Candy Crush, I wanted them to reach a level that people can enjoy. The iPhone does have the processors to render my games perfectly. I go for morning walks and enjoy a good workout in the nearby gyms.

The students my age don't do such stuff, Conan. So, you see it's dumb going to school when you already know the stuff that they are going to teach. I am an investor Conan, and a damn good one at that I can assure you. Most of the time I enjoy the stupid ideas that people bring. What is a Belly button cleaner? How does that even become a product?" I asked and everyone laughed.

"What do you think of the recent hip-hop music industry?" Eminem asked me and I thought for a while. "Hip hop has a long way ahead. I have been following you, Dre, Snoop, 2pac, Nas, and a few others. Been putting big bucks into your publishing houses and albums. Hip hop still has a long way to go not in terms of quality but influence. The quality of hip-hop has been at an all-time high. But hip-hop rap doesn't have the influence that it could have The more people you connect with, you will understand what you need to do then. People did not have games; I gave them games. They did not have phones; Apple gave them phones. They have music but are still unfamiliar with it." I said and the most agreed with a nod. He shook my hand with a smile. "I think I know what to do now." He said and I could see a fire in his eyes. That night I headed back to the hotel and decided to meditate for a while.

Meditation helped me to focus and to concentrate. I circulated the purple energon throughout my body gaining tremendous benefits due to the system. My body was practically a reservoir of energy and this energy resembled nature's due to the fact that the Earth was born out of Unicron's energon pool. I had even found that my mind had become sharper and sharper as I was able to find myself making precise decisions.

However, in the end, what drove me wasn't energon but my mindset. My determination to improve. With the system's help, I was able to take my martial arts even further. My next aim was to unlock the potential of the human brain. With training, I could become stronger every day. But what would happen if I unleash the potential of the brain? At any point in time, the brain uses a part of what it truly is capable of.

(Third POV)

Samuel James Witwicky stayed in New York for three months and for three months, there wasn't much of a commotion in the three months, but at the end of the third month, the entire crime rate dropped down to the lowest in all years. The Police Commissioner revealed that they had decided to opt for an algorithm developed by Sam Witwicky which ensured complete privacy tested by the U.S. government.

So, the Government decided to adopt the technology across all states since it was proven to be safe by even the N.S.A. However, little did they know that Skye had implanted herself deep within the algorithm and masked any presence. The U.S. government had been so enticed by the carrot that they seemed to ignore the stick. With access to cameras, databases, and satellites, Skye was a force to be reckoned with. However, the surveillance equipment did come with its benefits for the government.

Improvised cameras that could potentially locate people with an active warrant out for arrest, which meant that this would offer the people higher safety. It also had high efficiency during medical emergencies as the surveillance would identify people who showed symptoms of sickness, guide ambulances, and give an alarm in case an ambulance arrived so that people could make way for the ambulance. This resulted in improved medical efficiency and reduced delays in the transport of patients to hospitals.

Automobiles and homes were fitted with a commercial piece of this tech, to identify car thieves and burglars. It prevented flight risks as airports were immediately notified of any potential criminal they would be allowing to escape. With the success rate of this tech, Sam Witwicky became a very important asset to the U.S. government so the Government decided to give a military project that involved surveillance and total automation of their weapon inventory systems and archives.

The surveillance system was in the process of being adopted by major countries to combat crimes. The Governments were happy that no one could blame the system now, but the police officer who would be responsible for any corruption within the police station. In his chair, President Carter sat as he read the reports of reduced crime rates across the United States of America. Both Organized and Unorganized crimes had been reduced from an alarming 11.8 million criminal offenses to 5.1 million offenses.

And similarly, women's safety had improved by unimaginable margins by almost 40 percent. However Domestic Crimes weren't involved as that would intrude on the privacy of the occupants. Stealing cars and daylight robberies had gone down greatly. The best part was that the entire system was connected to a total of 23 satellites as backup. So, any activity noticed by the satellite would also be reported to the agencies.

"That boy, no that young man has done a great service to our country without serving actively in the front lines. Our armed forces in the front lines are more assured since their families are now more protected than they ever were." President Carter said with a smile.

"N.S.A, F.B.I, and N.C.I.S have reported an increase in the efficiency of solving cases. Since then, the agencies cannot take free credit for cases that they didn't solve. Theft identities have almost gone down since the system flags any cases. International deals have been busted due to them being tracked. Whenever an international criminal enters the States, they are flagged and police state departments have a better hold on the evidence now that they have sights on the person.

However, the only problem is cases of cosmetic surgeries, which Sam Witwicky has said that if he could incorporate retina scanners, then the loophole will be eliminated. But he knows that retina scans can't be obtained and hence told us to manage that. It's truly surprising how a small genius solved a lot of our problems." The Chief of Operations briefed and the others nodded.

"Sam Witwicky is already a major player in our DOD contracts as he has been pouring in tens of millions of dollars every year into our think tanks. Little Einstein didn't tell his parents due to knowing their reaction. Major countries have decided to adopt Witwicky's surveillance system.

The manual access to this system is with the Military Chiefs and a copy is stored in our servers. To access the server for information, you will need Witwicky's command code along with the Military Chiefs. The kid said this was because 'what if the Military Chief himself commits a crime and wants to erase it?'. That kid is quite the devil. However, N.S.A has run tests for any backdoors and none are present.

There are a hundred firewalls and when one firewall is broken, the system injects a virus within itself to flush out the hacker. However, when one server is hacked, the other servers immediately start to backtrack the hacker. The anti-virus system is quite capable of neutralizing most viruses. The agencies across the United States have been fitted with the system and even if we wish to study the system, we are at risk of shutting it down." The Chief of Cyber-crimes and Telecom Systems said.

"Women are feeling safer to work aboard Navy Carriers now that they have been set up with surveillance systems. The corridors and flight decks have been fitted with Eagle Vision; a more powered system developed solely for militaristic use. However, he has said that it is still a prototype as he isn't sure of its capabilities due to being used in the sea. For now, it's working better than our previous systems even during rough sea conditions.

However, as Witwicky said the cameras have helped identify weaker parts of our aircraft carriers and have pointed out faulty wiring systems which are in the process of being replaced. The cameras are set with an infrared and Tactile sensor as well as an ampere-meter and voltmeter, to check the electrical supply." The President nodded in approval as most of it seemed to be working quite well for the Military.

Well, the President was a submarine commander, so he was highly appreciative of improving the technology with better ones. It was a little pricey, but Witwicky did deliver on his end and they had better tech than most others.

"The kid has speed-run his way to the world's richest." The President said and the meeting ended with a chuckle. Yes, after all, Samuel James Witwicky was the richest man as his recent surveillance product boosted his entire net worth like a rocket escaping into space with escape velocity. On January 1st, 2002, Samuel James Witwicky held the spot of the World's richest with a net worth of 107.2 billion USD, effectively leaving the others in the dust. His value was still going up due to international sales which was yet to be evaluated.

Little did they know that this was just part of Witwicky's growing fortune. On January 2002, Samuel Witwicky increased his stake in Apple to a whopping 38%, stakes in Disney grew to 30%, stakes in Amazon grew to 32.5%, stakes in BlackRock were 33%, stakes in Apollo were 25%, stakes in Boeing and Airbus were 30%, stakes in PepsiCo and Coca-Cola stood at 28%, held 27.2% of Tesla shares, 25% shares of PayPal, 25% shares of Adani Power and 33% shares of Sony. His shares in Tata, Reliance, and other companies of Asian origin had nearly doubled.

His bank accounts were nowhere near his net worth since he had invested most of it, but the dividends that he was being paid back were humongous. The net dividend he was being paid back was around one-fourth of his net worth. Under the eyes of everyone, hidden in plain sight was Witwicky's trusted partner-in-crime, never letting a single shred of information escape under her scrutinizing gaze.
