The Awakening

Cold. Dark. Empty. I feel nothing as I float in oblivion. My mind is empty and serene, as if I am in a dreamless sleep. A calmness washing over me like nothing matters anymore. Then, searing pain from no where and everywhere. I am bathed in torture as I am pulled away.

I try to fight back but I have nothing to fight back with. My body is almost ethereal. I can do nothing but endure the pain covering me like a blanket. As it pulls me away I see a light, getting closer and brighter. I arrive before the almost blinding light and the pain slowly dissipates. A final explosion of light engulfs me and the nothing, only darkness again.

This time however I feel different. As I feel warmth, no longer empty. My eyes open and I see a breathtaking sight, probably literally. I see an eternal blackness with scattered stars and the most notable thing, planet earth. I look around to see gray dirt and rock as far as the eye can see.

I try to pick myself up and notice that my hands were made of metal. I stumble in shock because last I could recall, I didn't have metal hands. I check the rest of my body and it seems that I am made completely out of metal. I may not remember who I am or why I am here but I definitely remember being a man made of flesh and blood.

I ponder at my predicament Then suddenly.

I stare at the blue floating screen in front of me. I click the enter button and the screen changes to a full on image of a large robot. It has claw like hands and a tail with a sharp blade at the end. It looks almost animalistic in nature. At the top I see a name,"Barbatos",.

"What is that?" I say, although I didn't expect to get a reply.( This is you, Host.) I look around frantically foe where the voice originated. " Who are you, and more importantly, where are you?" ( I am here Host, within your mind. As to what I am, I am the system, here to help you evolve in your new world.)

" What do you mean new world, What happened and where am I?" I ask( You died. You were given a second chance at life as part of a deal. You are currently on the moon.) I ponder on the new information but it doesn't seem real to me.

" Why can't I remember any of this?" (Unknown) Great, I made a deal I don't even remember. I can't remember anything from my previous life for that matter. I try to return my thoughts to the matter at hand." What do you mean evolve, aren't I a machine?"

(You are Cybertronian, a species of sentient machines. And by evolve I mean I can help you change and adapt. You can gain new capabilities by evolving.) " Okay, then how do I evolve?" I ask.( Host must collect parts and store them in the system inventory in order to evolve.)

Great, where the H*ll am I gonna find parts on the moon?(Host can find parts at a crashed ship south of hosts position)..."Did you just read my thoughts?" ( I can read the hosts thoughts for better convenience) Okay that's good to know.

Uhh, system wich way is south?(Host can use the mini map.) With that a small circle with north, south, east and west on it appears on the lower part of my view. Uhh, thanks.

I follow the mini map for what felt like hours. I climb over a hill and see a massive ship on the other side. " Holy... this thing is huge!" I say. I make my way to a breach in the ships hull and begin to explore. Hey system, how do I know what im looking for?( Host will be able to see a gold blip on the mini map.)

Can I expand the map?(Of course) The mini map expands and covers my full view. I see several gold blips scattered across the layout of the ship. I make my way to the closest one. I traverse through the rubble of the cold dead ship and make my way to what may be the control room.

When I enter, I see a dead mechanical being sitting in the main seat. I approach the corpse and as I get closer I see that his arm has a built in, transforming gun. I see this as my target and rip his arm off. I then place it in my inventory.

I activate my system and scroll through to the singular item in my inventory. I click on it and press evolve. My arm begins to glow a bright gold. After the light show, my arm returned to normal." Did it work? My arm doesn't look any different. System, what do I do now?" I ask

(Try focusing on your arm and imagine it becoming a gun.) I do as my system says and focus. I focus on my arm and picture a cannon like gun appearing where my arm should be. In moments my arm changes shape and transforms into a cannon like gun that emits a humming sound.

" It worked!" I examine my arms long barrel and oozing blue plasma. I aim my arm at a wall and fire. A blue projectile launches from my arm and scorches the wall. When I'm done playing with it I return my arm to normal. I the continue to follow my mini map to the other blips.

I make my way towards the back of the ship where I believe the engines are located. When I get there the place is a wreck, with rubble on top of everything. It takes me a while to remove it all and finally my bounty is revealed. I don't know what it is but it's almost as big as me.

I put it in my inventory and read its description. Propulsion System: capable of flight and hover." So I get to fly, sweet". I activate the evolve function and this time my entire body glows. I feel tingly throughout my whole body and after a few moments, it stops.

" I can't really see what I look like but I can activate my system to see." When I do I see my self as I was before, but with some new additions. Attached to my back is what look like jet wings and engines, making me look bad*ss. I try to focus on them and my engines immediately activate sending me flying towards the ceiling hitting my head. I then crash to the floor.

" I really got to work on better controlling that." I say as I rub my head. I get up and continue my search for the other blips.
