Chapter 323 - New look!

Caelum glances at Saki who silently reads the book that she had bought talking glances towards him. He decided to lighten up the mode by asking a few questions about her.

"Say Saki, can you tell me about yourself? Like favorite food or things besides reading? Maybe things you always wanted to do?"

"W-Well I do love Teriyaki and...I've always wanted to go to a festival."

He recalled that in a few weeks there would be a festival coming soon. Caelum took note and would bring her there to fulfill that desire of hers.

Caelum continued to converse with her slowly getting closer and finding a few things missing. He opted to frown at how little the young girl experienced life and was compelled to change it. 

After a while, The three of Nakano finally came back from their discussions with Itsuka and Miku taking glances at Caelum who furrowed a brow confused for what reason they had complicated emotions. 

"What? Did I do something wrong?"

"Nino told us about how you protected her from some thugs. Do you think how dangerous it is if you get shot?"

Itsuka scolded him and felt her heart suddenly ache thinking what would happen if he got hurt. They had gotten close to him enough to consider him a friend and worried for his well-being.

He had helped them by teaching them during lunches and breaks. They spend their time excitedly learning from him and receiving advice that is compelling to listen to.

Caelum seems to understand each of them in a deeper manner allowing him to help each of them fix some of their issues. Though it was only a few days they spent, the bond was not to be underestimated.

It made them both glad that he is someone willing to risk his life to protect someone and frighten them might be his biggest flaw.

Fortunately, he did not have a hero complex that believed in everyone and only helped those he saw as someone who wouldn't get in his way. 

Inwardly hearing his tone recalled how his wives would react every time he returned since each of them understood the pain he did for them.

He would grow stronger enough to be not trampled by anyone and protect everyone precious to him.

"Sorry...but I understood everything and knew I wouldn't be hurt. Those thugs won't stand a chance."

"How can you be sure!?"

"Well if you live enough surrounded by danger then you'll develop a sixth sense of it."

"Enough, we can talk about Masa-san later. Saki-san why don't you come with us? Nino would help you become more beautiful."  

Miku held Saki, dragging her to a nearby salon where Nino and Itsuka helped the young girl change herself while Caelum watched to the side. 

He decided to leave till it was finished walking around the mall until spotting an old woman who was perplexed seeing him while the latter was the same. 

"So you have a sixth sense, elder."

"What are you? That aura can't be of a human."

She was known as Godmother by the locals giving fortunate telling and faith healing to people. In all of her life, this is the second shock she had seen with the first being the two girls from a few days ago.

The two girls may have incredible Spiritual energy but the young man was like the source of a spirit shrouded in divine light unparalleled by any she had seen. It was neither light nor darkness. A balance between the opposing duality. 

"What I am is not for you to know, however, I do like to ask if you have any talisman?"

"I do but is there a reason for you to buy it? I can see you don't need any lucky charms."

"Don't concern yourself. Just give me at least a whole pack. Also, add some beaded bracelets to it."

"Here, I already gave in and decided to retire. You can have it for free."

"No, I'm not one to take things for free."

Caelum took out his wallet that he had bought a few days ago and placed a few thousand yen, handing it to the old woman.

The old woman did not refute knowing the young man would persist in giving her the money and took out a stack of blank Talisman along with a beaded bracelet containing strong spiritual energy.

"Thank you, hope you enjoy your retirement."

Caelum went to the bathroom where there weren't a lot of people before biting his index fingers then began to use his inscription adding the small Qi that he had into the Talisman.

He could feel that once Saki changed her looks everything would lead to a calamity. She had a powerful string of fate which caused him to create this talisman to ensure her safety. 

'This would protect her at least.'

It took him a few minutes to finish at least six Talismans for each Nakano sister and Saki. The rest hid it in his pocket. 

They were inscriptions triggered when someone had hidden intentions and would both alarm him since his blood was used and protect that person by summoning creatures.  

He went back to the Salon then was taken aback when seeing the new Saki appearance. Her old hairstyle was completely gone and replaced with a short bob cut. It was as if she would look when her fate was different. 

The glasses made it more alluring as Caelum was someone who loved the hairstyle and the glasses. 

"W-What do you think, Masa-San?"

"...It's Great! As if you went to metamorphosis!! You just need some new clothes."

"We're already on it. Let's go! I'm quite good when choosing clothes."

Nino treated Saki as her little sister after hearing her life story and couldn't help but sympathize. They headed their way to the clothing shop that Caelum and this time went after deciding to buy some of his own.

"What do you think?"

Caelum saw Nino had dressed Saki in a summer white dress showing her innocent looks and demeanor. Saki kept blushing wearing the clothes taking glances over Caelum who intently looked at her.

"It looks great, perfect for her looks."

She hid up hiding herself in the curtain opting Caelum chuckle and waited for the next clothes to try. The next outfit was a turtleneck sweater and short shorts accentuating her creamy white legs 

"Perhaps give her ripped jeans instead. It fits her better."

"I thought so."

"You weren't kidding, you have many hobbies. I just hope that doesn't include creepy hobbies."(Itsuka)

"Hell no, I would rather die than do something like that."

After a while, Saki gained five sets of clothes that Caelum would pay for. Now it was his turn and dressed himself with a set of clothes. 

He did like Cargo pants and sleeveless turtlenecks but decided to change revealing a coat with fur hood and black undershirt accompanied by black pants. The onlookers gasped seeing his picturesque looks and model physique. 

"What do you think?"

"Y-You look amazing, Masa-san."

"It really suits you, Masa-san."

"I think the inner shirt could be red instead of black. You appeared like an emo boy band."

"Overall, we agree that it fits nicely. Now it's time for my pick!"

Itsuka exclaimed excitedly what he would look like with the clothes he picked and after a few seconds unveiled Caelum wearing checkered loose long sleeves Korean style clothing with an inner while shirt and brown pants.

It gave out an air of class perfectly how she had imagined he would look like. Caelum enjoyed the fashion since he normally just wore the Robe of Sage that could change its form and self cleaning. 

This causes the four young girls to be stunned for a moment to increase his appeal to them. Saki couldn't help being in a daze while admiring his looks.

"Hmmm? Hahaha I guess you all like it?"

He smirked seeing their reaction bringing them back from their astonishment and became flustered before coming themselves. Few minutes went by and paid for the clothes then returned to their spot along with Saki.

"We're back! What happened while we were gone!?"

"Hope you didn't feel lonely, Masa-san. Oh, who is this?"

Yotsuba and Ichika arrived back after buying snacks seeing another person with them. After introducing herself and telling everything what happen gave a look at Caelum.

"Quite the hero, Masa-kun. I can see why you said you have multiple lovers."

"Don't worry, Saki-san! I will make sure those bullies won't bother you!"
