Chapter 17 - New magic?(Rewrite)

Currently, I was resting on my flying broom while observing the other participants. There some that fell out and others overflow their magic on the broom.

I was already an expert at controlling mana when using magic. It also the reason why my mana capacity is low because I'm already efficient at using it. Not to mention my mana is much denser than any other magic user out there.

I let my body adapt to the new mana that I absorb when I used my [vital energy manipulation]. If you made me fight someone that has the same mana as I am, then they would surely lose at how I don't waste any my mana by letting it overflow or leak.

Sapphire slowly flew towards me and saw my bored expression. She then proceeds to wrap around my neck which ends up making Charlotte jealous.

I could sense her emotion with harem meter though she still maintains her poker face. I need to ask her on a date next time. I'm heartache so much seeing them being jealous of one another.

"Samshiel are you alright?"

"…No my heartache seeing Charlotte getting jealous of you. I wanted to ask her about going on a date."

Sapphire smiled and whisper in my ear.

"Your really kind samshiel. If you get a chance then do it and it's not like you won't have limited as your already ageless."

Many people were staring at us with judgmental eyes but I did not care as I enjoy the moment.

"Now that you've calm I'll check on asta and yuno if they alright."

She kisses on my cheek and went towards yuno and asta.

"Alright, I'm going to do that later, for now, I'll use my gacha spin. Cereza can you show me gacha function?"

Out of nowhere cereza pop out of my shadow surprising the magic knight captain. They knew about spirit users but it pretty rare, not to mention a young man like me to have it.

I was pretty lucky the wizard king wasn't here or else he would have started asking about my magic.

["Alright dear."]

Suddenly a slot machine appeared in my eyes and mentally pull the level while looking at the name popping up.

My eyes continue to see countless names that probably had all the items in the multiverse. I decide to let cereza stop it twice.

I was amazed at what I received. Shunpo was already well known so I don't need an explanation but what's demise overlord magic?

"Cereza can you explained to me what demise overlord magic is?"

["Demise overlord magic is a powerful magic that is was a subclass of Destruction and death magic. It allows the user to destroy, erase, and nullify any attacks depending on the mana uses. Furthermore, you can fuse your shadow dragon slayer magic with demise overlord magic to essentially create a new magic type. ]

Damn! Does that mean my shadow would become a more offensive type? I couldn't help but shiver from excitement.

"Can you start fusing my magic?"

["Yes I can but darling do note that it may cause immense pain and you need to stay awake for it fully fuse. Are you sure darling?"]

I then contemplate for a moment. If I fuse right now I would be able to adjust using the test provided but there still the risk of me fainting. Then again the only one that able to knock me out cold is that lioness.

"Yes, Cereza start right now."

["darling find a place where you could lay down."]

I nodded while the magic knight captain continued to observe participants but gave me some glances trying to find out what I was doing.

I sat down in one the corner and I could hear nozel voice talking to someone. I could already guess it Noelle and I still don't know why nozel is so harsh despite knowing the truth about their mother's death.

"Cereza I'm ready"

["Fusing shadow dragon slayer magic and demise overlord magic in….3.2.1…."]

I could feel a burning sensation in the abdomen, it was not like any pain I ever felt but I tried to recall my fight with the lioness. I was getting excited as I felt alive as I suffer the pain.

The magic knight captain who had an excellent magic sense was able to see the chaotic influx of mana around me. Though my eyes close I could sense their curiosity alongside Charlotte's concern.

["Done! Your magic had change into –Shadow demise overlord dragon magic." ]

The pain suddenly vanishes as it wasn't there in the first place. I open my eyes and heard the William announce the next test. I stood up while turning my gaze toward Noelle who was looking at me.

"You know it is rude to just stare without introducing oneself?"

She didn't answer and did the typical noble speech. The usual tsundere action. She turns her back at me and continues to go wherever she went.

After a few minutes, the mages started to create a target for the participants. It was a simple test to show the magic power.

Before I began doing my test, my gaze shifted towards sapphire and others. Yuno was easily able to destroy the target while asta desperately did a goku move. As for sapphire, she used her illusion creation to make a bow that shot fire arrows.

Her magic is pretty op as it doesn't really create an illusion for her opponent but an illusion for the world. It essential to defy reality.

I stopped looking at them and start using my new magic. The palm of hands started to be envelope by my shadow but something change, instead of just black mist it had miasmic red color to it.

I could sense the overbearing destructive power it holds, I create a nail size shadow bullet and shot it towards the target.

All of the participants and magic knights were bewildered by my spell, As It obliterated the target. I frown seeing it was too destructive, I wasn't fond of having power that may endanger innocent people.

Though I was also glad the mana consumption wasn't too drastic. After the test, we went to continue to another test. This time the target was flying in the air.

I didn't bother looking at the target as my senses are pretty sharp to point I could see it without looking. I made another small shadow sphere and let it move towards it's the target.

The noble participants started to cursing and mocking me but didn't say it to my face as I was exuding killing intent.

We continued to more test and I began to adjust the magic power into more manageable input. My mana also began to become much denser and pure.

After all that we were looking up towards magic knight's captain waiting for the last test. Fugeleon stood up and announced the sparring session to see if how they pair with a real opponent.

My blood is boiling as I wanted to fight yami once again and see how I hold up.

One by one they pick their opponent and showed their prowess. When asta fought the extra he didn't use the breath of hell and just slam his sword. He quickly told his dream of being the next hoka- I Mean wizard king.

Everyone laughing about his dream but I didn't bother defending him as to reach the top, one face many adversaries. Not to mention his plot armor and undying will.

Everything went like the canon but when sapphire was next to fight, I was excited to watch the tort- I mean battle.

"Hmph I'm fighting a commoner woman? It's not even worth my time to fight a low rat…but you have pretty face why don't you join my harem?"

I didn't really mind seeing as his opponent was sapphire. Damn, I wanted to buy popcorn.

"So what do you say?"

She didn't answer and waited for the instruction to say start. When he did sapphire disappeared from his previous spot and reappeared from behind. She made a multitude of pressure points at her opponent.

"Moonlight rebirth Needle!"

The noble didn't even stand a chance as he started to feel the executing pain imaginable he tried to scream for help and to make it stop but nobody was answering.

"You wouldn't even able to cry for help as I made an illusion to not let anyone see the true fight."

I was the only one who saw everything as she continued to torture the noble and after a few minutes he knocks out the noble while erasing his memory.

Magic knights and participants were bewildered at what just happened. I look at sapphire and ask what she made them saw.

"I made look like the noble just stood there and suddenly fainted out nowhere."

I nodded while being scared at how op her powers are. Well, I continued to watch as each and everyone fight while I chatted with sapphire about Rebecca.

When I was the next to fight no one approaches me as they saw how powerful my magic was. I didn't really want to fight them as I want…

"Captain yami are you ready!?"

Everyone including the captain looks at yami as he landed on the open areas. The magic knight tried to stop him but it was for naught as I ready my sword as well.

They saw my sword and reminded of yami unusual blade. I coated my sword with shadow demise magic while yami did the same. I then pretended to grab something my bag and revealed a black bull uniform that gordon and finral eyes widen

"Let's see if you surpass your limits!"

We both face each other and disappeared from our previous spot then suddenly reappeared as our blade clash and created a small gush of wind.
