Chapter 70 - New skills

Caelum was rather confused at what had just occurred when he busily recreated the reincarnation magic formation made by the elves from Black Clover Verse to bring back their allies from the afterlife. It was far too complex than he anticipated, however, his adept knowledge in runes shared by the Heart kingdom along with the Elves techniques and method allowed him to further research ways in returning people who have died. 

However, there were a lot of variables that he had to face in order to complete his understanding in life and death. At first, Caelum was only able to manipulate the energy that was soul then placing it into a vessel. It was more like revival than resurrection. 

Caelum needed to find a way to bypass the line of the dead and reincarnation. He took a long time to research information about the world itself and the history until he found the thing that he needed the most.

It was the Circle of Reincarnation which allows the soul to pass on and be purified then be reincarnated into a new. Caelum knew that the world of Black Clover had it consider the method that revived the elves.

Once it was done, Caelum needed a way to summon the soul of the dead before recreating their body to complete their resurrection. At the current moment, he created a rune that was a miniature version of the Elves resurrection method but removed the body possession and only summoned the soul of the dead.  

'Let's see here, if my theory is correct then I could revive someone with their previous memory returning.'

The challenge of complete resurrection is when the soul already reincarnates and has no other way to summon the soul. Regardless, Caelum planned on experimenting with animals then human trials. He was at the workshop within the Empire rather than his [ Godly Grimoire ] and started to formulate the magic runes. 

It started to cause miasmic darkness that shaped itself into skulls and grotesque imagery capable of terrifying even the most hardened person yet Caelum remained unfazed by it and resumed his magic until shimmering light could be seen emanating before him where flesh started to form. 

The flesh formed viscera then muscle and soon skin before finally creating a wolf from Ethernano. Caelum proceeded to summon its soul from the afterlife where ghostly ethereal mist could be seen taking the shape of a wolf before it was absorbed by the newly created body. 

Caelum watched as the wolf took its first breath looking around confused then spotted him and quickly launched itself toward him but he merely released his presence and subdue the Wolf.

"Good boy…"

[ You have been cursed by Ankhseram ]

[ Cursed had been devoured ]

[ Life and Death magic had been acquired. ]

He was taken aback when the notification popped up then greeted by a powerful wave of energy plunging into his soul only to be devoured like a snack. Caelum confuses this person who has cursed him and only vaguely guesses that it was an arrogant god that dislikes the idea of messing with the natural order. 

Caelum doesn't know if he should be thankful or not considering something had occurred within him that had made him a lot more stronger. However, the spell that revived the dead seems to lack other key components that would perfect the resurrection of the dead.

'I need to create a skill for it soon but my understanding of soul and the circle for reincarnation is limited. It would take a while but if I added Time, Space, Creation and Soul then I might be able to create skill about it.'

At the moment of his immense strength, Caelum found it a lot easier to create skills and ponder how he would go about the power. Furthermore, he had [ Concept magic ] that had fusion of Spirit Magic that allowed the manipulation of soul.

Though, there certainly are limitations, namely how long the soul has been gone from the body or has it been purified. Caelum decided it was the perfect time to create another Ultimate Skill having the required energy to perform it. 

'Alright, I'll put aside that person who cursed me and focus on creating this skill.'

Unknown location. Far from any place and untouched by the worldly plane, an old man containing unfathomable serenity with long thick beard and hair that appears to have ancient appearances wearing pure dark robes. The old man was looking at something and frowned, feeling a disturbances. 

'A mortal is meddling with life and death once again. They never learn…'

The person was Ankhseram, the god of life and death within the Fairy Tail Verse. However, he is merely a false one who sees those who interfere in the circle of life and death to be a contender in his position to be the god. 

He merely waves his hand sending a miasmic darkness towards the fool who tried to interfere with his domain. Unfortunately, the person was no ordinary creature causing a backlash towards Ankhseram causing him to feel an immense pain after a part of him was devoured. 

'What!? How can this be!!? What manner of creature is capable of harming this place!?'

Ankhseram felt a mixture of fear and anger that something was able to harm him despite having been virtually untouchable for numerous years now. He had lived for countless years punishing those who defy his law never in its existence has there been anyone that was able to harm him.

He tried to find the person only to feel pressure merely trying to spy on him. He felt an endless abyss by staring directly at his presence feeling helpless from the ordeal. 

Roar!!!

"Gaaaah!!"

Ankhseram screamed in pain upon trying to peer further toward the soul causing an agonizing pain like a sharp needle crawling through his body. It lasted for a split second but the pain felt like an eternity.

'I…I need to prepare to kill this person by every means possible before everything gets out of hand. The other gods should help me or it would be catastrophic!'

"Achoo!"

Caelum sneezed as he continued to create the skill within his body having difficulty completing yet was progressing rapidly thanks to the curse that he devoured from earlier. It was helping him guide through the boundaries of life and death rather easily. 

He concentrated on creating the fundamental command and runes when activating the skills to make it easier to cast. The [ Dream ] energy that added into the [ Creator ] skill made it a lot easier to make Ultimate skill. 

'Huh?'

Caelum instantly felt something growing when using his skill within his soul causing it to expand and grow stronger than before. He remained indifferent merely vaguely trying to grasp at the skill that was evolving into an Ultimate Skill. 

[ Creator has evolved into Ahura Mazda ]

[ Description: The ability to create almost anything including skills, memories, souls, and matter. 

Note: All depends on energy input. ]

[ Ultimate Skill: Sephira, Great Life Giver ]

[ Description: Users can manipulate life, a characteristic that distinguishes physical entities that have biological processes though is still a mostly indefinite concept. This allows them to grant extra lives to living beings, change their lifespan, grant life to anything, resurrect/reincarnate the dead, etc.

Note: Stronger spirit and other variables are in effect. However, energy input determines the outcome. Additionally, Life energy is recommended.] 

[ Ultimate skill: Maveth, The True death ] 

[ Description: Users can decide, determine and manipulate the cause(s) of death, allowing them to determine and control when, how, where, and why someone dies and even induce the circumstances/events that will lead to the target's appointed death. Allows to manipulate the phenomenon of "Death" such as reflecting one's death, sense death, teleporting to recent disease or those near death door, etc. 

Note: Stronger spirit and other variables are in effect. However, energy input determines the outcome. Additionally, Death energy is recommended. ] 

Caelum was taken aback when he gained not one but 3 ultimate skills only expecting to gain the power to resurrect the dead and nothing more. He was a bit confused why the [ Creator ] skill evolved when he doesn't have the requirements like Yuuki has done in Tensura.

[ I can see your confusion, Darling. The reason why it happened was due to the fact that the "Dream" energy had grown significantly allowing you to gain what you truly desired. Additionally, the curse that place in you act as a guide or catalyze to gain the skill. ]

'That explains it and I'm not really one to complain when I get stronger thanks to that idiot who cursed me. So does my skill allow me to revive anyone now using [ Sephira, Great Life Giver]?'

[ All depends, the skill uses space, time, soul and creation in order to bypass the boundaries. If that barrier is stronger then it would be a lot harder. However, those kinds of worlds are a lot stronger but I doubt you won't be able to resurrect anyone at that point. ]

They are numerous worlds that defy nature and the common sense that it would not be strange that they're worlds that would be able to suppress Caelum even with his power unless he grows stronger so that it doesn't bother him anymore.

"Guess, there is no point other than to test this skill."

Caelum was pleased that he could manipulate the soul and the dead a lot more easier with the skill itself. He reached out his hand to test out the skill and tried the [ Sephira, The Great Life Giver ] by reviving a person who had the life of Dante from Black Clover Verse.

It took him over 3/4 of his reserve to just summon the soul realizing that bypassing the space across different verses takes a toll on him. 

"What!? Wait! Where am I?"

Dante was confused then saw Caelum only to see darkness once more after he was instantly killed in comical manner. Once that was done, he started to experiment with the skill and found that his [ Godly Grimoire ] vegetation grew even further than before. They were a lot better than before, even the herbs that he recently planted were nourished by his skills. 

He was satisfied with the power and the [ Maveth, The True Death ] gave him the power to manipulate anything related to death itself from causing a phenomenon into a person such as remove the life within their limb or even cause instant death. Caelum doesn't know if it includes immortals that are immune to physical death. 

Caelum understood that there are numerous types of immortal from unkillable, unaging, existence immortal, etc. He could be considered both unaging and unkillable but this only applies to physical flesh as if his soul is severely damaged then it could kill him. Additionally, existence's erasure power could kill him.

Regardless, the power that dominates life and death was far more than anything that Caelum was for. He finished his experiment and decided to head back with his family.

Few days later, Caelum sought out to explore the world and find the other dragon god. The first one he was aiming to find was Selene, the Moon Dragon God as he was interested in her title who was capable of traversing dimensions. 

The location he was heading to was another continent that was called Guiltina, the northern continent of Earthland. He had learned that most if not all accounts of their appearances led to this continent. 

'This place seems rather isolated compared to Ishgar continent.'

Caelum flies using his dragonic wings, finding it more entertaining to use once in a while. Furthermore, it gave a lot more control than just using levitation.  He soon spotted a nearby island then instantly felt something was coming and a powerful blast; however, Caelum merely opened his mouth and devoured the power. 

He never stated such freshing energy before and once everything dissipated turned his attention to the one responsible.
