Chapter 44 - Grinding

The rest of the day was spent shopping around the mall buying new clothes and other materials. Caelum had become more intimate with the three but they tried their best to get his attention for themselves. Though they bicker, they would laugh it off and do their best to not fight for Caelum who gives them his full attention. 

Caelum became their personal doll when they tried dressing him with the outfit they picked. He didn't have much clothes beside what he had bought recently and decided to let them decide for him. 

Liliena picked a leather jacket with an inner white shirt and ripped jeans while Annie picked combat pants and boots with a cyberpunk jacket similar to Jinwoo's outfit when he fought the architect. On the other hand, Mary picked the most casual one consisting of a button up shirt slightly open showing his chest and black jeans with leather shoes and circular glasses. 

The three of them were blushing every piece of clothing they've chosen. Caelum does like Annie style but they are equally good since each is for particular occasions. 

When the group finished shopping, they bought a snack where they chatted about their stay in Krendon. Few hours later Mary had things to do and departed with the three who decided to head back home. Once they were at home, Caelum went to take a quick shower while Annie headed to her room to play with Eternum and Liliena went to help their mom. 

He headed inside where the dirt and sweat were rinsed off from his body. Few minutes later, Caelum dried himself with the towel and wrapped it around his waist since he was naked. When he went outside, he was greeted by Penelope who was also planning to take a shower and take a look back looking at Caelum.

'G-God! This is the first time I've seen him naked again and compared to his average body back then appeared scrawny!!'

The first thing he did was head out from the kingdom and started finding familiars to consume. Caelum had changed his clothes with a long cloak that had pieces of ornament and the sigil of the white tempest. 

'Master, there seems to be a powerful monster nearby. This is the perfect opportunity to gain another beast.'

Caelum glanced toward the direction before using [ Shundō ] to instantly travel to his destination, which was around a few thousand kilometers away from his previous location and found an incredibly strong monster that appeared to be slumbering with enormous horns and an empowering presence. The size could easily be around 200 meters tall where even its breaths seem to shake the ground.

'What is this creature? Can I actually turn into my beast?'

[ These creatures are a mythical beast called Behemoth that would provide you indomitable durability and strength. Furthermore, it increases your affinity with the earth. A Behemoth is actually not a race rather an evolution of creatures such as bears, elephants and other large animals. 'Is this world real or not?'

Caelum nodded before vanishing, evading the attack of the mighty beast who had woken up and nimbly moved to attack him. He was in the air looking down at the enormous creature unfazed by its imposing size and took out his [ Blade Tempest ] flaring his magical energy causing the cloud to form and snow to fall. 

In an instant ice shard formed behind him then blasted them toward the mythical beast who roared in anger when the shards exploded and instantly froze its flesh. Caelum felt an oppressing energy from the monster and understood it was a type of Haki. The monster opened its mouth creating a vortex where at the scent was a sphere of pure energy. It shot straight to Caelum who didn't flinch and took out Mio then absorbed the energy then took deep breath.

Caelum executed a downward slash that created pure darkness that sliced through the mighty beast unable to even realize it had been cut in half. However, the mythical beast wouldn't hold such a title if it didn't have any regeneration.

'Jeez this game is just ridiculous! How can anyone fight that!?'

[ That supposed to be a raid boss but considering you're strength had just turn into a canon fodder. ]

'Will this boss respawn if I kill or tame it?'

Caelum nodded, not wanting unnecessary attention when he was enjoying the peaceful life of his youth. He evaded once more seemingly enraging the mythical beast creating multiple attacks at once yet unable to land a single hit on him that made the creature more in rage.

He decided to absorb its biology using [ Absolute Devourer Ammutseba ] taking a small sample and instantly analyzing by the skill increased his strength even further than before. The memory of the creature seems blurry and had been one track minded creature before turning into a Behemoth. It was a simple bear that had been exposed with magical energy that slowly grew stronger and became a Behemoth. 

'Why didn't it give me a bloodline?'

Caelum held out his hand then created a powerful seal to tame the creature who roared yet unable to fight back looking at him and forced to be tamed by him. His grimoire popped up then soon the image of the behemoth appeared and acquired his first beast.

The Behemoth slowly became smaller then turned into an adorable bear like creature who was picked by Caelum then brought into his shoulder. He was pleased how things had turned out and went to grind for the duration of his playthrough. 

'Hmm? Gem of doom?'

Several hours had passed and Caelum sat on a mountain of corpses at the center of the city that had been overturned by demons and monsters. He acquired the Gem of doom after killing numerous demons, demon general and demon royal guard. They were as strong or stronger than the high class Devil from black clover but Caelum made quick work of them. 

Caelum heard the announcement and could guess that it had started to cause an uproar regarding his alias. He imagined news outlets would spread the news about it. He stored the item then jumped off the corpse that was instantly devoured by his skill acquiring their blood that made his [ demon ] bloodline to grow significantly. 

He stretched his body and decided to log off since it was already time for dinner. Caelum didn't want to miss out on his mother's delicious meal.

Few days had passed, Caelum had been occupied with his time by having a date with Annie in eternum trying her favorite server which was cyberpunk themed and did some dungeon raid which she enjoyed the date. It beats a cliche boring one in the real world.  

Afterwards had his date with Mary going to the park and had their picnic since she likes keeping things simple. They played with some kites at that time while talking about their day and their impressions of the city. Caelum had been enjoying his life and spent his last date with Liliena who only wanted to relieve their childhood going around time and sight see. 

His mother hadn't voiced her view in their relationship and was only happy that they were bonding while Caelum noticed how Penelope had been weirdly staring at him. 

At the current times, Caelum dressed in his uniform as today was his first day being highschool again. Fortunately the outfit was not a blazer and only white shirt and tie. When he was about to dress the door burst and Nancy arrived in her office uniformed. 

She fell silent when he saw his body once again and mesmerized by it. Penelope wasn't the only one who was fantasizing about being dominated by Caelum with Nancy having a longer shower than before. 

"Morning, Aunt Nancy!"

"Good morning, Honey. I was about to see you before I head to work and tell you good luck on your first day!"
