10,000 years ago, there came a discovery. A discovery of a mysterious energy.

Humans called it Spirit Power due to its ethereal nature.

5000 years ago, humans made it to the core of the earth. In there was a tower. From that tower, humans got the power to grow beyond their limits.

Present Time, In the Royal Academy Of The Spirit Empire, there were 30 youths sitting down. Each of them were wearing a white robe with a crest on it.

At the very front of the class, there was an instructor explaining as he waved a stick. Every wave would cause a different golden screen to float in the air, before it dissipates for the next screen to take its place.

"Spirit Power is enigmatic, and its use was similarly enigmatic. We originally used it to directly temper the body and just grow stronger, but that was very inefficient and ineffective. Back then, the strongest humans had an average of 100 Spirit Force."

"Later on, the founders of our Spirit Empire, found a tower inside the core of the earth. In there, he found a world in and of itself. He saw many races, even those of fable like dragons, phoenixes, elves, dwarves, etc. The humans there had a unique system of using Spirit Power, not the barbarian way we were using it."

The instructor smirked as he waved his hand, showcasing screen showing a man destroying a car using his bare hands that were on flames, "I'm sure you guys know of him. He's known as the Fire King, a Second Sequence Spiritist. This is the sort of power one could achieve by using Spirit Arrays."

"Spiritists etch Spirit Array onto themselves, and use those Spirit Arrays to wield mythical powers. Not only that, but the physical enhancements are much better. Humans of the past's barbarian ways of using Spirit Power was instantly erased, and taken over by this better method."

"Spirit Arrays are basically a collection of Runes made by Spirit Power, which we call Spirit Runes. These Spirit Runes are then arranged in a specific way to perform a specific function. These are called Spirit Arrays."

The instructor then clapped his hands, and smiled, "Now that we've finished reviewing the history of the Spiritist Way, lets complete today's lecture."

The 30 students almost groaned when they heard that. Most of them only cared about the Spiritist Way, not the boring technology lecture he was about to start.

"Hey, you guys must remember that we used technology to even discover all this, so you better pay attention." The instructor said.

Reluctant as they were, they still paid attention. Everybody knew that as students of the Royal Academy, they would be given access to the tower if they perform well enough.

Many heroes and legends were born from the tower, and everybody here lusted for the chance to enter it.

After the class finished, everybody dissipated into blue light. Well, everybody left except for a black haired youth.

Other than his black hair, he had decent looks. However, what really set him apart was his deep blue eyes, which seemed like an infinite abyss that could sink anybody into its depths.

He went up to the teacher, who was sitting down for those who wanted to stay for after-school assistance.

"Sir, The Academy had sent he a Holo-Mail regarding my extended stay," The black haired youth said, "I had assumed the Academy knew of my circumstances, and we had reached an agreement?"

The teacher looked at him with slight pity, before sighing. He waved his hand, causing a hologram entailing a report of the kid.

"Well, lets see," The teacher said, "Liam Cadell right? In the information I have here, it states that your parents left you five years ago, leaving you with no way to pay for the Academy Fees. Since you were the International Rank 1 Student, the Academy agreed to provide for you as long as you keep within the Top 100."

"However, you failed to keep within the Top 100, proving the agreement null. Is there something wrong? If you find anything wrong with that, head to the Main Office to discuss an alternative agreement."

"However, I must warn you that the previous level of financial assistance won't be available to you if you were to go that route. Personally, I would recommend you to drop everything except studies, then make your way back to the Top 100."

"Or is there something wrong with the foster family the Academy found you?"

Liam, the youth, said nothing and shook his head. He dissipated into blue light strands as well.

Not far away from the Academy, there was a gigantic mansion. In that mansion, the same Liam sat down with blue sunglasses on his face.

What he had just been using was Hologram technology, allowing him to attend the class as a hologram while he was actually chilling at home.

Everybody in the Royal Academy used this technology to attend classes, because there was no point in going to the academy in real life.

However, that was what Liam thought. There were many others that decided to attend in real life.

In conclusion, it was a choice.

He took off the sun-glasses, then looked behind him and said, "Big Bro, the Academy has stopped supplying me money."

"I guess even a behemoth such as them grow tired of your excessive spending." He continued with a sneer.

A brutish young man behind him smiled and responded, "Well, my lil bro sure has enough spending for his stupid mouth."

The young man took slow steps, and arrived in front of Liam. As soon as he did, he changed his hand into a fist position, and slowly said, "I dare you to repeat that."

Liam smirked, then said, "Well, you sure are big and strong. Its sad that your brain doesn't measure up to be the sa-"

A barrage to the head interrupted him, leaving a bloodied Liam alone in a desolate room.
