4 The Shi Family's Shock

The next morning after Arthur and Lisa disappeared. In the main hall of Shi family.

An old man was sitting on the main sit while checking some reports. He was the Head of the Shi family.

At this time, a servant rushed into the hall. Seeing him, the old man frowned.

"Don't you have any.."

Just as the old man was about to scold, the servant started shouting.

"My Lord, that girl disappeared. She is not in the mansion anymore."

The old man felt as if he heard something wrong, so he asked. "Which girl are you talking about?"

"Lisandra, the genius of platinum-tier aptitude. The maids couldn't find her. It's as if she completely disappeared into thin air."

The old man was shocked and felt that it was impossible. But he didn't feel that the servant was lying as he was shivering with fear right now.

He looked at a man standing on guard near him and said. "Go and find her no matter what. I want her back in a day."

Just as he was about to calm down and think how did Lisa escape, another servant rushed in.

"What the hell is wrong with you all? Where are your manners?"

The servant trembled upon being scolded but he never the less spoke up.

"My Lord, t-the treasury is empty!"

The old man almost choked up to death.

When Arthur saw that Lisa had agreed with him, he gave her the status of Empress using the Empire System.

"Lisa, could you stand in front of me?"

Lisa stood up from the sofa and did as Arthur said. But still her head was lowered. She was embarassed by what Arthur said earlier.

After a few moments, she threw a questioning look at Arthur but it didn't look like he would explain anything. Just as she was wondering, a rainbow coloured paper appeared in front of her.

There were ancient characters written on it. They were far from ordinary as they contained a strange power.

At the same time, a voice sounded in Lisa's mind.

"Are you willing to become Arthur Moderake's first wife. You will be titled the Nightfall Empress upon accepting. Drop a blood on the heavenly page to accept."

A blush appeared on her face. This time, even her ears were completely red. Still she accepted it by dropping her blood on it.

In the next moment, the page disappeared.

While her imagination was running wild, her body started to glow with a golden colour.

This took her by surprised. Lisa looked at Arthur only to see him give her a confident smile.

Thus, she immersed herself in this refreshing feeling.

It lasted for about two hours. Lisa slowly opened her eyes and felt power surging through her.

She realised that she have even broken through the star-tier, entering bronze-tier. But it didn't stop all the way up to peak of bronze-tier.

In this world, humans couldn't directly sense magic energy as other races could. Instead, humans must first break through the master-tier to officially start as cultivators.

All the tiers are just small evolutionary levels in which humans enhances their body to be made suitable for cultivation.

In fact, humans could easily break through the master-tier before the age of fifty. But that was not so for the people of Rica province.

It was because Rica province is an island and thus was separated by the nearby main continent.

The sea surrounding the Rica island was filled with powerful sea monsters and thus no one could cross it. As for the people on the other side, they couldn't bother with such weak province.

Thus, the Rica province had always been the weakest province.

It would have been conquered easily but since it even lacked a lot of resources, no one wanted to waste their time.

But now, Lisa had broken through bronze-tier before the age of twenty.

Lisa looked at her body in shock but felt that there was still a change happening deep inside her.

In the next moment, an even brighter golden light covered her body. Her body cells started to change at a fast rate. It was painful but the golden light lessened her pain. It was almost bearable.

This process lasted for half an hour. After that, the power in her body surged all the way up to master-tier. The bottlenecks which were impossible for others to break were non existant for Lisa.

Just as she thought that it was about to stop, her power broke through the master-tier and reached a new realm.

In this realm, she felt that she could easily sense the magic energy.

Finally she reached a still and her power didn't increase any further.
