19 Chapter 19 - The Maze of the Two Kings (3)

Well, to begin with, my classes are back. Because of that, I will be short of time to write, but I'm not stopping because of that.

I will only be taking a break for about a month. Besides school, this month I have several things to do, so I won't have any time to write.

That is all and here below is the chapter. (This is meant to be just the outline of the chapter, so it may not be very good)

***

"!"

Arisha's eyes widened in surprise. She was lying on the ground with Urek in front of her. She had thought that attack would cause a great injury to her, yet Urek suddenly appeared out of nowhere and stopped the attack with a single finger.

'Strong.'

She swallowed dryly looking at Urek's back.

A monster. That was the definition she had given Urek since the first time they met. Back then she had already realized, he was unimaginably strong. And at that moment, she was even more certain of it.

Like her, Khol was shocked. His eyelids fluttered and he shouted in a flawed voice, "W-Who are you...?!"

"Me?"

Urek smiled broadly.

With one hand inside his shirt pocket, he moved his right arm up to the face of the still shocked Khol. His fingers moved and then...

Chak-

Kwang!

He flicked.

"Kuaak!"

A shockwave spread through the area and the wind blew with a gale from his fingertip. Khol's body was thrown several dozen meters like a kite.

Urek put his right hand in his pocket. He turned around with a smile on his face.

"I am Urek Mazino."

Tap, tap-

Leaving those words, he began walking toward Arisha lying on the ground. He stretched his hand toward her with a gentle smile on his face.

"Are you okay?"

"A-ah... Uh..." Arisha was still shocked and couldn't react to it all. What the hell just happened in front of her? If it wasn't enough that he could stop an attack with just one finger, he defeated Khol with just one flick.

'A real monster.'

Her eyes showed fear and she pushed Urek's hand away carefully. With her legs staggering from shock, she tried to get up from the ground.

"...N-No need help, I can get up by myself..."

Once she was able to stand up, she took a deep breath and looked at Urek.

"Thank you so much for your help."

Urek smiled broadly.

"Haha! I was walking through the maze and suddenly I smelled your perfume along with the horrible, disgusting smell of that guy and came running."

"Uh... Thanks again."

"Don't worry, so what, did you get any points?"

"N-No. And you, Mr. Urek...?"

"I haven't gotten any yet either."

"H-Haha."

"Although, I am now five." Urek pointed to the unconscious figure of Khol on the floor.

'Gulp...' Arisha swallowed dryly. White foam was coming out of Khol's mouth and a large red stain could be seen in the middle of his forehead, blood. From the point where he had taken a jab to the point where he was lying unconscious, the ground had been torn away.

A thought crossed Arisha's mind looking at that.

'Who is the stronger one? The master, or...'

Her gaze turned to the smiling figure of Urek.

For a moment she couldn't help but curse. She had entered the Tower thinking she would easily pass through the Floors and quickly become a Ranker, but what were these two monsters that entered the Tower at the same time as her?

'Even a Princess of Zahard might not be that strong...!'

She clenched her fists. How could she be so unlucky? She was made a slave and now she has to climb the Tower side by side with these two monsters.

'But, if I-'

Whoosh!

"Huh...?" Arisha was confused. She felt a change around her. "...Don't tell me, again...?"

"Oh, it looks like the labyrinth has changed again."

"...?" Arisha turned back around. There was Urek with a smile.

***

'As expected from an Irregular.'

Khun Rian Lyon was watching the maze with a solemn look.

He was watching the scene of Urek stopping Khol's attack with just one finger.

'He is a terrible monster.'

Urek was several kilometers away from that spot, but in almost an instant he got there. The most amazing thing was that he didn't use shinsu and used only physical force! Khun was sure that even a Ha Family Ranker might not necessarily have that much speed just by using physical strength.

"L-Lord Khun. Are you sure it's a good idea not to report this to your superiors...?"

A deep frown appeared on Khun's face. He turned with an irritated expression to Moore.

"Haven't I already told you, Moore? If you don't want to be executed, keep your mouth shut."

".....Yes...."

'Tsk, this guy.' Khun clicked his tongue internally and turned toward the labyrinth again. His gaze settled on Urek and Uriel.

Moore didn't notice, but a larger than before trace of fear could be seen deep in Khun's eyes.

He had received a piece of information yesterday.

'A new Top 1...'

Enryu's place, which was ranked 1st in the rankings of Rankers throughout the Tower, had changed. This was not only something surprising, but also absurd to many. Enryu had achieved this ranking after killing a Floor Guardian, a being that was believed to be invincible and immortal. But for a person even stronger than a Guardian to have been suddenly pushed into 2nd place in the ranking...

'Phantaminum.'

This is the name of the Irregular who entered the Tower and invaded Zahard's Castle.

He caused a real massacre in Zahard Castle, and after seeing King Zahard face to face, he withdrew. Just like that. Nobody could stop him. The only words the survivors could say about him were: Monster.

A monster that even Zahard's highest Rankers could not stop.

'That's an Irregular.'

Khun's eyes twitched.

He knew. After this incident, even he might not have had a chance to live if they found out that two Irregulars passed through his supervision.

However...

'If all goes well, I will...!'

"H-huh...? What's that shinsu?!"

At that moment, he heard Moore's completely shocked voice beside him.

"What happened, Moore?"

"Sir! Look quickly!"

Following Moore's finger, Khun looked at the screen.

'A baang?' He looked at Uriel who was holding a small orb made of shinsu. However...

The shinsu had a red and black coloration mixed in. Moreover, Khun could feel the great density inside that single baang.

'Tension?!'

Khun's eyes grew larger. However, a few moments later, he regained his calm and composure again.

"Okay, he can use Quality of Shinsu and Tension, but what does it matter? He's an Irregular, that's not something unexpected for him to be able to do."

"I'm not talking about that sir! Look closely! Look around his shinsu!"

Moore wagged his finger with an anxious expression on his face.

'....?' Khun frowned and looked at the screen intently. The next moment his eyes widened even more. In front of him, he could see Uriel's shinsu devouring even the smallest dust particles that came close.

However, the most shocking scene had not yet arrived. He saw Uriel stretching his palm forward and then...

Boom!

"!!"

A gigantic gust of shinsu arose.

***

In the throne area of Khun Huo's team...

"What do you think, Finn?" Huo looked at his teammate with a smile.

"W-what, sir?"

"Who do you think will win this fight? Us or the opposing team?"

"U-uh... I don't know... Who will it be?"

"Haha. Well, I'll tell you..." Huo stood up from his throne with a smile.

He stretched out his hand holding something. He spun it in his palm.

His back arched slightly backward. He squeezed that something tightly and...

"We will win!"

He threw it with all his strength. Towards the opposite side of the labyrinth.

***

A few minutes ago...

"Hmm... This is boring."

Uriel's gaze lowered. He was bored, it had been a few minutes and the maze had already changed twice.

"Haaa..." He sighed. If he had known it would be like this, he would have put Arisha as the king instead.

'Why is that guy, Mazino, taking so long to defeat the Regulars from the other team?'

His gaze turned to his Pocket. The 'Call' mode was off, so he was not in contact with Urek.

"Should I call him?" Uriel muttered with his hand on his chin.

"...!"

The next moment, his eyes narrowed slightly. Uriel hastily tilted his head to the side.

Clang-

Swiik!

A metallic sound rang out along with a flash of light passing straight past his ear.

The wind whipped up and lifted Uriel's hair.

His gaze turned to the object carved into the throne just beside his head. A spear!

'So that's it.'

He snorted and looked into the labyrinth. More specifically to the opposite side of the labyrinth. Even if he couldn't see, he knew the person who had thrown the spear, and at the same time, the king of the other team.

'A member of the Khun Family, huh...'

A smile appeared on his face.

'Since you want to play, I will play with you.'

He stood up and stood on the throne. Then he held out one of his arms. From his palm, circular waves of shinsu pulsed inward. And just then, a violent scarlet-black orb appeared.

Uriel smiled. In the rules, it said that only those who were 'moving' in the labyrinth could not break the walls. However, kings do not move in the labyrinth and stay only on their thrones, so they are not subject to that rule.

'Good luck surviving.'

The shinsu no baang increased and continued to increase tremendously.

Pzzz!

Around the baang, red electric sparks danced.

The baang advanced from Uriel's palm.

It was then.

Kwaaaaaaaaaa!!!

A violent spiral of scarlet-black shinsu advanced forward.

<Shinsu Control Skill - Great Demonic Spiral - Human Devouring Spiral>

It was like a whirlpool. Whether it was the floor of the maze or the walls, everything that came in contact with the spiral was completely torn apart.

The spiral would eventually reach the other side of the labyrinth...

Kwaaaang!!!

...or not.

"Oh..."

Uriel's eyes flashed in surprise and his mouth formed a big 'O'. In front of him, a different scene than expected faded into view. A powerful gust of wind collided directly with his Human Devouring Spiral. The gust of wind was no weaker than the spiral, and eventually, the two attacks dispersed.

"Mazino... Why the hell did that guy stop my attack?!"

His eyebrows were frowning.

***

At the same time, inside the maze...

"I'm amazing, aren't I?"

Urek raised his nose with a proud expression. Arisha behind him was with an anxious expression on her face.

"U-Uh, yes... But, isn't it a bad idea to stop the master's attack...?"

"Hahaha! That attack was not Uriel's. I've fought him before and that's not the shinsu he uses. Because of the changes in the maze, you must have been confused. Besides..."

Urek smiled broadly.

"For those guys to be able to pull off such an attack... Looks like I underestimated them. Looks like this test is going to be really interesting."

He looked at the walls of the maze that were regenerating at a tremendous speed, with eyes burning with a desire to fight.
