40 Chapter 40 : Just The Beginning

The Lumberjack continued to trolly around the woods slicing trees down with his swining axes while dancing, until he stopped, and he looked up, saying, "Oh?"

Sho was falling down towards him, and the Lumberjack moved out the way, making Sho punch the ground super hard, in which the punch destoryed parts of the ground, and some trees around them blasted out of its roots, with wind spiraling around them like a typhoon.

Sho had a grin on his face, and he looked to the left, and saw the Lumberjack.

The Lumberjack got into a dancing form, and said, "Gasp! How dare you interrupt my daily dance?! You, have no taste-!"

In the blink of an eye, Sho zipped over to the Lumberjack, and focused his power energy into the right palm of his hand.

"Tai Palm."

Red and black energy flowed in a way that covered Sho'a right hand, and Sho hit the Lumberjack in the chest with his palm. A large thud blasted out the smack, and the ground cracked underneath them.

The Lumberjack coughed out black blood, and the force from Sho's Tai Palm skill sent the Lumberjack flying.

The Lumberjack crashed through some trees, and then he stood up, and saw that his chest was cracked.

"Dagnabbit! What a serious drag! I'm so disappointed in myself-!"

Suddenly, a giant red and black hand opened up from the sky, and the palm of it smashed down on top of the Lumberjack, creating more destruction.

The Lumberjack laid there, and was coughing up more of his black blood. He was slowly trying to get up, feeling the pain everywhere.

The Lumberjack looked over at Sho, and saw Sho walking towards him.

The Lumberjack whined, "You! You have no delicacy or class! That aura..what..are you?!"

Sho responded, "The bridge between you and life itself, bitch."

"Hmph!"

The Lumberjack got to his feet wounded, and he started to dance with his two axes, humming a random song to himself, and when he waved his axes around, the ground began to move around along with the trees, and they were matching the rhythm of the Lumberjacks ax movements.

Sho started to rise as he stood on top of a piece of the ground, thinking, 'The ground is moving according to his ax movements, dancing like an idiot. I'll shut that down fast-.'

The ground piece under him exploded fast, and Sho was blasted over to the right, hitting through a tree.

Sho sat up, thinking, 'He can make them explode too?! And it fucking hurt!'

The Lumberjack kept dancing, saying, "Boo hoo! Get 'em, boy!"

"Huh?"

Coming out of the Lumberjack's back, was a 10 foot light purple muscular humanoid with no eyes and stitches on his mouth, and had chains all around his legs as pants.

The humanoid jumped out, and Sho looked at it and thought, 'Stats. Huh?! No way this thing is the Lumberjacks familiar. Is that shit even possible?'

The humanoid charged ahead, leaping towards Sho, but Red and Vaelle flowed out of Sho's back, and attacked the purple humanoid.

Red started to spin into a ball with red and black flames around him, and he crashed into the humanoids stomach, and at the same time, Vaelle chopped the humanoids head off with her javelin.

And at the same time while they were blasting backwards, Vaelle was cutting the humanoids body up with her javelin, while Red was dashing around the humanoid setting him on fire.

They both fully destroyed him, leaving nothing but chains on the ground.

Sho was jumping on the spinning trees, and the trees were moving around swirling as the Lumberjack danced, singing, "I siiiiing, you siiiiing, they all scream when the ax swiiiings!"

The Lumberjack vanished, then he jumped out one of the trees near Sho, ready to attack with his axes.

Sho noticed him, and before Sho could go for an attack with his glaive blade, the Lumberjack reappeared straight out of another tree near Sho.

Sho yelled, "Stay fucking still! Let me kill you!"

'This bastard..it's like that arcade game with the groundhogs that keep popping up in different spots.'

The Lumberjack jumped on the ground, and he slammed his two axes together, and his arms and axes came straight out from under the tree Sho was standing on.

Sho gasped, and he jumped up, with his feet planting on a flying rock.

The Lumberjack kept popping up out of different flying trees and rocks around Sho, and when he popped out again, his arms were spinning faster than drills, with his ax still in his hands, and a white and red aura coming off of them.

The Lumberjack was going really fast, dashing around and around, disappearing and reappearing to dash towards Sho, trying to make his drill-like arms hit Sho.

Many of the ground pieces and rocks and trees were exploding around Sho all at the same time, so Sho was constantly jumping around flipping, barely dodging it all.

Sho thought, 'This bastard is fast. If I was any weaker, this would look impossible. Tch..it's not. I just need to wait for an opening. He's created a barrier of exploding rubble to try and keep me in here, all the rubble is moving along with his movements, making all of this chaotic so I'm constantly dodging everything and jumping everywhere.'

The Lumberjack laughed, "Hoh?! You're not fighting back?! Have you given up because I'm too majestic and delicate for you? Hehe! Siiiiing with meee!"

"Shut up! You're wrong, dumbass!"

Sho continue, "Vaelle! Red! Go check on May! I'm not about to be responsible if she dies!"

Red answered, "You got things here?"

"Duh, go!"

On the other side of them, May was standing in the middle of the forest with blood dripping down from her forehead.

May was standing there with a disgusted look on her face, because there were moving trees in front of her with human faces in front of her. Those trees were singing together, and they were dancing in sync, it had to be at least 20 of them.

"Siiiing togetherrrr, run foreverrr, you have nowhere to hiiiide! You get scratched, no strings attached, bring your soul straight to meeee!"

May replied, "What..the FUCK is this? A musical?! Just keep on coming, I'm gonna unalive all of you!"

'Of course it's a musical. Or that's what the hell it seems like. I've fought over 40 of these moving trees, they just keep coming. Damn Sho for running ahead of me so he could fight the raid target. These tree goons just keep coming, Sho better hurry the hell up.'

The trees started to vanish, moving fast, spreading around the area, running circles around May.

May immediately jumped in the air, pointed her bow and arrow downward, and said, "Wind Arrow!"

She shot three wind arrows downward, and they hit the ground, and a large wave of strong winds blasted around, tossing all the dashing trees in the air and making them crash against each other.

As May was falling, trees had dashed towards her and opened the middle of their faces up, May said, "Ew! Hell nah!"

May did a 360 twist and said, "Fire Arrow!"

She shot over 7 flaming arrows, while doing a spinning 360 flip downward, and when the arrows touched the trees, they were set on fire.

The fire weakened them, so May flipped back upward, and performed a spinning sideways heel kick on all of them, smashing them into pieces.

May landed feet first on the ground holding her bow and arrow and saw more trees dashing towards her at very fast speeds.

May thought, 'They'll just keep coming. How annoying. Sho, what are you doing?'

May strafed to the left as some of the trees dashed past her, leaving scratches on her face.

May thought, 'These trees don't r.have any real powers, but the dangerous thing about them is that when they dash against you, it's very painful and fatal, but it's only fatal if they hit you head on. But after a few minutes of fighting them, I have a better advantage of fighting them in the air.'

Dashing past May, was Vaelle and Red, and they started zipping around destroying the dashing trees.

Red was barking loudly, which the force of it sent the trees back, shattering them into pieces. Then, he got into a ball form and rolled straight through the dashing trees while red and black flames blasted off of him, and set the trees on fire.

Vaelle was just standing there now, and she was smacking trees away with her javelins. Then, Vaelle phased into the ground, making the trees run into each other. Vaelle then phased out of a non living tree, and twisted around in a circle straight through the trees with her javelins.

May watched, saying, "I know the dog, but who the hell is that?"

Red replied, "That's Sho's other familiar! Her name is Vaelle!"

"Oh. Wassup Vaelle?"

Vaelle just looked at May with an attitude, then looked away.

May replied, "Damn, rude."

Red said to May, "It takes her awhile to warm up to people. She doesn't really talk either unless she trusts you enough."

"Oh, she's one of those. Oi Red, bark at this!"

May shot a fire arrow at Red, and Red barked at it, and the fire off of the arrow spreaded out largely like a hurricane cloud, and it burned many dashing trees down.

May said, "Hell yeah, always wanted to try that with you."

May ran ahead, and she slid on the ground, and dashing trees were trying to run through her.

May put one hand on the ground, and started to spin on it, parrying with the dashing trees.

"Let's give you dirty bitches a bath!"

May pushed herself upwards, into the air, saying, "Water arrow!"

May had a water arrow in her hand, and she smashed it into the ground, and water started to last out, completely tackling the trees away.

"Fire arrow!"

May had a fire arrow in her right hand, and she turned around and stabbed the arrow into a tree's face that was coming at her, and the tree was set on fire.

'More's coming. The wind of their speed is ratting them the hell out.'

May yelled, "Wind arrow!"

May climbed on the tree, and leaped off of it, aimed her wind arrow downward, and shot it, and caused more strong winds to blast around, decimating almost half the area and dashing trees.

"Haaaaaha!"

Sho jumped off one rubble piece, and he landed on the ground, but at that moment, the Lumberjack came from above and tried to smash his drill arms down on Sho at light speed.

Sho stood there, but dodged it at the last minute, and the Lumberjacks drill arms slammed into the ground under Sho.

Sho said, "Oh, an opening."

"Huh?!"

"Drill-like arms going into the ground. The drill arms spin's cycle is hella fast, and it's hard to control it once it's digging through things on its own due to its spiraling nature. Those drill arms are spinning faster than you were running. How fucking pathetic."

Sho pulled his fist back, and punched the Lumberjack in the face, smashing his face hard into the ground, making the ground thud and level itself irregularly.

Dust and rocks flew everywhere, and the Lumberjack was just laying there, with his face bashed in.

He tried to sing, "Youuuu..will not..beattt meee-!"

Sho stabbed the Lumberjack through the face, and ripped his glaive blade out.

Sho got a notification from his watch system, saying: *Raid target has been slain. 6,000 Fighter points rewarded."

Sho stood up, wiping some of the blood off of his scratches.

'! I could've ended this fight earlier, but I wanted to see how strong I was without needing all my skills. I don't want to just have my skills and glaive blade super strong, I want my physical condition and attributes to be just as strong as them too. I'll train double the amount of time I usually train from now on. Also, with everything that's been going on from the get go, all the enemies I've battled, all the progress I've made..I feel like this is just the beginning.'

May, Vaelle, and Red were approaching, and May said, "That took forever! All thanks to youuuuu."

"Huh?! It was only a few minutes, fool!"

"That's too long!"

"Tch! Fuck you!"

"Not now, we're covered in blood."

"Hah?!"

"HAHAHA! JUST kidding! Let's go get food."

"Good. You're buying."

"You thought."

"Then go alone."

"You're such a crybaby. Girls don't pay for food on the first date."

"D-Date?!"

"Hahah!!!"

Red and Vaelle looked at each other, and shrugged at the same time.

Vaelle floated over to Sho, and bowed her head, wanting to be patted.

May asked, "What's this? Does she think you're a god or something?"

Sho responded, "…Whenever she successfully completes a task from me, or whenever she thinks she has done something good, she wants to patted on the fucking head."

"What happens if you don't pat her on the head?"

"Pfft, I don't know. She might get pissy or something."

Sho patted Vaelle on the head, saying, "Good work…and shit like that."

Vaelle smiled, and a screen with a message appeared above her head, saying : *Vaelle is feeling happy at the moment.*

Red looked at Sho, saying, "You're making progress, brat."

Sho replied, "I would say the same to you, but I'm not good with compliments, mutt."

"Then that means you have praises for me."

"…Tch. Sure. I'll give ya some food. Don't annoy me though."

"Haha! Yes, assholes!"

May chuckled, and said to Sho, "You're a weird bunch. I like it."

Red replied, "Same here, May. Oh and uh, Vaelle thinks you two are a cute couple."

Sho and May looked at each other with flustered faces, and said, "Huh?!!! W-W-Wait! We're not a couple!"

"Vaelle calls bullshit."

[10 hours later in the afternoon]

[70 miles away]

[A barbecue party at an open field]

A large guild was outside partying and drinking while having fun, with music blasting around.

"Wassup man, you made it to the party!"

"Hell yeah! I'm here!"

…

"Bruhh where's the rest of the booze?!"

"In the truck!"

..

"It's nice to kick back every once in a while!"

"It's super cool how our guild house is underground!"

Four guild members were in a circle, talking and drinking with each other, saying:

"Hey, you hear about Sho lately?"

"Huh? Who hasn't? Everyone's talking about him."

"Mostly about him ranking up so fast and beating Fighters with higher power levels."

"He's in a guild now, I heard our guild leader was wanting to recruit him."

"What guild is he in?"

"A guild called Odd Samson. It has two S class Fighters in it, along with that Fighter Kell and that try-hard psycho Kaiju."

"Odd Samson? That's an odd name."

"Honestly."

"Aye..look."

The four of them looked over to the right, and they saw seven strange figures.

The figures stood at least 6 feet tall, and they were fully red and grey, and they had red faces, with white eyes, and beetle horns as antennas.

One guild member walked up to them, and said, "Oi..oi..why do yOU look like..a soN of A bITcH..? Haha..HAaaaHA! Here bud..have a *burp!* have a driNK..yOU sOn oF a biTcH!"

He put his hand on the figure's shoulder, and laughed.

In the blink of an eye, the guild member was sliced in half, with the bottom half of his body cut apart, with blood splattering everywhere.

The guild members were shocked, they all shook, and paused in place.

"Huh?"

"That fast.."

"I think it's the alcohol.."

"No..I'm not drunk..this is real.."

"I'm not drunk either.."

"Those bug things killed them!"

Everyone yelled, "Kill them-!"

In a flash, the figures dashed past them, cutting their bodies in half from the waste down, with blood and bodies flipping in the grass.

The figures looked at each other, saying:

"Take the bottom half of their bodies, we shall deliver them to the king."

"Yes."

[Four hours later]

[The same area]

A 20 year old man was walking through the same field, stepping on the blood puddles and hearing the music that had been left on.

He had purple eyes, and ash blonde hair in a man bun with some strands hanging out.

His name was Gwenzelle Takahashi.

He had his hands in his pockets, seeing that the figures had left the top half part of the guild members bodies on the ground, and took the bottom half with them.

Gwenzelle stood there, saying, "Ugh. Only the top half of these bastards left, bottom half taken..how lame."

'This was done by Centaur Beetles. A family of humanoid beetles, who are all in the class S category. No one knows of their goals, but they move fast…taking specific parts of human bodies; I was too late. How lame..and boring. The Huntsmen are gonna have a fucking field day with this one..'
