1 A Summon Like No Other Pt.1

The god of another plane stole the souls of the humans on Earth, 100 to be exact. It was more but that's what the god told them. This was a worldwide rapture that crossed 5 other universes that were painfully similar.

In a sphere observably the size of planet Earth, realms were born. Separate universes came into existence.

Why did they do this? The reason is unknown.

This god bred in a white void, overseeing the multiverse through thousands of "screens" only watching and not intervening. No noise, no company, no interaction. A room filled with nothing could drive a human insane in a mere day.

[A Choice].

Everyone seemed confused. Any normal person would be in this situation. But there's those extras, those anomalies that aren't. The start was in Japanese. "Isekai?" That word started up an uproar amongst all. God brought in all types of nerds. The weebs(disaster of an anime fan) yelled out happily with their stomach jiggling and their raw scent scorching the area. Some people even pinched their nose or curled their faces up.

Americans who were fond of the Isekai genre, Germans, they were all happy thinking they've been chosen for something like slaying the Demon King.

They were given a choice. "This is what I will grant you all. A basic weapon of your choosing, 3 traits, and an item. You will need them for this game." God said. "In the meantime, I can use this for one of the Multiversal Meetings." God thought.

"Um excuse me." A girl with a coffee like complexion looked around in confusion. She pushed her loose glasses back to the base of her nose and asked "Who's speaking right now?" A question that should've been asked but the gang of crazed nerds thought otherwise.

"Who cares?" A man in a dark tinted suit approached her. They seem to be from the same universe. Unbeknownst to them, they were speaking different languages but could understand each other perfectly.

"Who they are doesn't matter because we get POWERS!!" This guy was ecstatic at the thought of gaining power.

"Are you dumb?" The Girl asked.

"No?"

"You don't care about where you are or who you're talking to as long as you get powers? We should at least know who we're talking to first." Her voice elevated at the man.

"We're in a room filled with people we don't know and a voice we can all hear is talking about giving us powers. What more do you want?"

"Information!? Duh!! Who's this guy? Where did he take us? Why are we here? Important questions that we should know!!" She exclaimed.

"Being loud doesn't make you right." A woman with blonde hair and a peachy skin complexion spoke to the two.

"Okay, am I wrong?" She asked the woman.

"Wrong or right doesn't matter. You're being loud for no good reason." Jessie responded.

The Japanese man was confused. "That does her volume have to do with her being right or wrong?" His bias towards being Isekai'd might sway him but he was a logical man other than that.

"Ain't there like over a hundred people here?" Her lips moved up in confusion. Jackie didn't understand women like her.

"When you tell them stank ass nerds over there to quiet down too then I will lower my voice. Til then deal with it."

"Of course they'll oppose each other's ideals so violently. Their humans." The god thought.

"Enough bickering. I do not need the aid of others. For those who care for their current location and who is speaking to them." Particles of light garner to a singular focal point. Forming a miniscule sphere that grows, morphing into a humanoid body. The light cracks around the exterior of the body until it sheds the illuminant element off. With an angelic voice conjured, the face and body matched congruently. Eyes as blue as the ocean. A full set of blonde hair flowing.

"You all may refer to me as Potens. I've brought you outside of your respective universes to play a game."

"A game? You took us away from our families for a fucking game?!?" The woman of a darker skin color, enraged by the reason given elevates her voice.

"Please do not be alarmed. To your friends and loved ones, it is as if you haven't left."

"Do you think that makes this any better? You took us from our friends and family, stripped us from our daily lives just TO PLAY A GAME!!! What kind of shit is that!?!" She continued.

"Jasmine is a very talkative and just person. I expected her to do this." Potens sighed as Jasmine ranted about how he made an immature decision.

"For now, I will need you to stay quiet."

"No! Send us back already and stop with this stupid." The more she spoke the quieter her voice became involuntarily. Her eyebrows grow down to her eyes. Taking a pause from her rambling, veins formed through the skin of her neck as what seemed to be a scream attempted to creep out from her vocal cords but not a singular decibel was heard.

"Now allow me to give you the details of this game. It is called Tower Defense. Each of you will be granted your own tower. While each of you own the rights to these towers, you do not have control over them. But you may access any floor in the tower you own."

One of the many guys summoned raised their hand to speak as if this was a kindergarten class. "Might you have a question, Kennedy?"

While shocked that this person called them out by their first name without being told, Kenneth moved on to his question. "Um yeah, if the name of this game is Tower Defense then are we defending the tower? If so, who are we defending the tower from?"

"That is a fantastic question. You will be protecting your towers against invaders."

"Invaders?" The crowd grew in volume again. Questioning the identity of these so called invaders they will be opposing.

"In the worlds each of you are from, there are apparitions known as demons and evil spirits. These beings pollute the world you are in and reject the laws of the Otherworld. Think of them as Astral Criminals." The god advised.
