1 Rise of the Tower

I was walking home from work when I felt the ground start shaking. It starting shaking more and more and I lost my balance. I fell to the ground and tried to find something to stabilize myself. I found a small pole and stood up as the world kept shaking.

A few minutes later the shaking stopped and I let go of the pole. I looked around as people started walking out of their homes and looking around.

"What was that?" someone asked.

While we were looking around a giant shadow towered over all of us and we looked up. A giant tower radiating a black and red glow appeared out of nowhere and everyone was confused.

I heard a few people asking questions but no one had an answer. The tower's glow started radiating brighter and brighter until it exploded. The explosion covered a large area and no one had time to take cover.

I closed my eyes as I got swept into the explosion and felt and warmth inside my body.

I opened my eyes to find myself inside an all-white space with no windows or doors. I was looking around when a figure of a woman appeared before me.

"Hello, Player."

I looked at the figure and replied.

"Hello?"

The figure lifted her hand and the room shifted into an armory.

"Please choose a weapon Player."

I looked around the armory at the many weapons. I stopped in front of a bow and picked it up along with a quiver full of arrows.

I walked back to the woman and showed her my weapon of choice. The woman showed a smile and nodded her head.

She placed her hand on my body and an intense heat filled my body. I let out a loud scream and fell to my knees.

"Welcome to the tower Player, please survi....."

I didn't hear the rest of her words as I had passed out and the world around me went black.
