"Does that change the fact that you spoiled my blouse Mr. Kim?"

"Oh I was just informing, not trying to get away with it, I swear." Nathan says, brows furrowed and authencity in his voice as he bows repeatedly apologizing.

"Alright, I think that's enough, I'll manage." She smiles a little, trying her best not to let anger get the best of her as she makes her way to the other Mr. Kim's office, going past one.

She takes a deep breath pushing inside the office while Lisa waits outside making small talk with Nathan.

"Good morning sir," she offers him a bright smile but unfortunately to his back. The man's ears perk up at the new voice and he turns around, spinning his chair a little. For fun.

"Good morning," he says in an obnoxiously loud voice as it registers in his mind who the pretty lady standing in front of him is. The lady, on the other hand was equally as obnoxious in her own mind, astound by the beautiful aura of the second Mr. Kim.

"I'm here for the editoring position sir." He nods getting up from his chair, hands sliding into the pockets of his trousers as he takes elegant strides towards her looking down at his feet in thought.

"So Ivy, correct me if I'm wrong but the one my dear friend was apologizing to, outside my office was none other than you." He brings his gaze up, looking directly into her eyes. She cowers under his strong gaze and personality. The whole room seemingly colder and Mr. Kim, seemingly taller than he already was.

"That would be me sir." She states, back straightened and gaze stronger. All previous signs of nervousness or fear now vanished as she takes things into her hands.

"Fine enough, now tell me why I should trust you with such important work as editing? Just because your previous company said so?" He asks, one eyebrow raised in arrogance.

"Sir, with all due respect I don't think that you should trust me just because I'll tell you so or my previous company said so. I think you'll be more than satisfied once I'll be done."

"Okie." He says cutely shrugging leaving Ivy shocked beyond belief.

"Sorry, I'm actually not that strict. Nathan had almost convinced me that I'm being too nice with the employees but I really can't be bossy."

"Oh." She breathes out, heaving a sigh of relief. The room now warm as the attitude changes.

"Yeah, so I know you'll be okie. And about Nathan's little mistake, I apologize on his behalf." He gestures to the coffee stain on her white, now light brown collar.

"Oh he apologized quite a lot of times, its fine, I'll get it dry-cleaned." She waves her hands a little dismissively before smiling at him once more and taking her leave.

"One more thing, Mr. Kim?" She asks and he turns around urging her to go on.

"How do I address you and Mr. Nathan? I mean to avoid any confusion."

"Oh you can call me Jack since we're not that far apart in ages and as for Nathan, it'll be best you ask him yourself." He sends a gracious smile her way which makes her smile back.

Closing the door behind her, she gets startled when she finds Nathan standing directly in front of her.

"Oh dear god, you scared the fu- life out of me." She exclaims clutching her chest.

"Oh I'm sorry, I keep doing silly things. Anyway, I wanted you to understand a few simple conditions you'll have to respect while working with me." He clasps his hands in front of him after his statement and turns on his heel towards his office.

"Mr. Kim, you do know that I'm at a higher position right?" Ivy asks following him anyway.

"Oh? Oh yeah, I'm sorry but I just wanted you to know a few, things." He opens the door and steps aside to let the girl in. Her eyes again start scanning the whole area, a habit she developed after that incident.

"So, first, please try to keep the changes minimal for my books since it'll completely ruin the message and tone of the book. Second, can you please discuss things with me directly?"

"First, it's up to me to decide how much I want to change but I'll respect your work and only change the minimum. Second, sure, I'll discuss everything with you directly."

"Okay, one more thing, would you have a problem working with my drafts till later in the evening? I'm sure Jack would assure that you reach home safe and so would I."

"That one might be an issue. I am very paranoid and would very much appreciate it if you take responsibility for keeping me here till late." She traces her fingers over the surface of the glass table before locking eyes with the author.

"I will. Anything else Ms. Editor?" He settles down on his chair behind the glass table as she stands in front of it with her arms crossed and in a defensive stance.

"Just one last thing. How do want me to address you?" She places her flat palms on the surface of the table, leaning against it slightly as she looks directly into his eyes.

"You can call me whatever you want, preferrably Nathan or Mr. Kim if you must." He places his index and middle fingers against the side of his face, crossing one leg over the other. If it wasn't for the coffee incident, she would've definitely found that attractive but she wasn't really looking at him or his face.

For now, he was just work, maybe an acquaintance.
