CHAPTER 1: BACK TO COLLEGE

She stood up from the bed tired and unhappy and walked slowly to the bathroom to get ready for the day.

After taking her bath, brushing her teeth, putting on her clothes, and carrying her bag sadly, she went to the park to get a bus so she could go back to school.

It has been a long, sad, and painful emergency break and she needed to get away from her family and distract herself from the fact that the love of her life has left her and that she is now on her own.

she remembered the last time she saw Brenden, how happy they were, how she was happy to sleep in his arms, she had no idea it was going to end like this.

now it was all over and it is time to put herself together and move on, if not for herself she has to at least do it for her family.

Seating in the bus with her earpiece plugged into her phone, she rest her body on the seat and start thinking of her life while listening to the songs on her playlist, she realized all her life she has been caring for and loving everyone else but herself and still everyone who had been and still is in her life never truly loved her and it was high time it all stops.

It was high time she start putting herself first before anyone else and it is time to stop caring about people who don't care about her and under no circumstances would she give anyone the pleasure of making fun of her pain or see her cry or sad even if that means she had to pretend to be happy when she was dying inside with pain.

The movement of people inside the bus brought her back to the real world.

Getting out of the bus she turned her head back and forth to where the sound of her name was coming from, she could hear someone calling her name Tory, Tory, Tory,

She finally saw who was calling her it was only Grace her roommate, she forced a smile on her face

"grace how are you I thought you were coming tomorrow why the change of heart?"

with a smile on her face, grace told Tory that she lied to her parents that she had important things to do at school so she had to come today so they had no choice but to let her come today.

Am so tired I need to eat and have a good sleep she said to grace as their both left the park to get a bike that will take them home.

How is Brenden? Grace asked Tory. He's fine she answered looking the other way.

Grace was talking all the way home which was starting to piece Troy off because she had to reply to her and at that moment she didn't feel like speaking.

The only thing on her mind was finding a way to stop herself from feeling the pain she was feeling which seen to be impossible at that moment but with determination, she knew she had to do it but first she had to speak to Brenden in person because if she wanted to heal that means she has to get closure from Brenden.

After which it will be time to build herself.

A little bit of relief filled Tory as soon as she steps into her appointment with her things, she quickly put her begs away and falls on the bed, she fell asleep as soon as her body touched the bed. Grace kept talking about getting what to eat instead but stop noticing Tory was already sleeping.

Tory slept for hours before waking up, she felt her headache as she stood up but didn't care, she kept on looking at her phone which had Brenden's picture as her wallpaper, she kept on gazing at the picture asking herself what was so special about this guy that makes it hard to forget about him.

"Will you come, so we can get something to eat, or do you still want to keep looking at Brenden's picture as if he will suddenly pop out of it"

Grace asked sarcastically.

Tory realizing how hungry she was, smiled before getting up.

"What are we going to eat??"

Tory ask Grace as she got to where she was standing.

"I have no idea" Grace replied.

"What did you bring, because I only came back with my Transport, I don't have any money on me anymore"

"Are you kidding me???" Tory asked surprised.

"You mean to tell me that your parents didn't give you anything other than your transport???"

"Yes," Grace answered looking a bit sad.

"My mom says she'll try to send me money before the month runs out"

"I don't have much either, I only have #5000 with me and am not expecting anything from my family anytime soon but we can manage it till your parents come through for you"

Tory, you noticed Grace's mood quickly tells her.

"Thanks, Tory, you are the best," Grace said in excitement.

"O before I forget where I Sky???" She asked.

"Sky isn't coming, it's really hard to back home, so she had to drop out so I can continue" Tory replied with tears in her eyes.

"Am sorry to hear about this Tory, how are you holding up???" Grace walks up to her to try to comfort her.

"Hurt but I'll be fine, and she is going to get a job so next year-end she would have raised enough money to come back to school"

Tory helps to try to make herself feel better than her little sister had to drop out for her, she misses having her around, she quickly turns to Grace.

" Please no one should use any of Sky's things in the house when Gold comes please let her know" Tory announce.

"I will now let's get something to eat before I faint" Grace laughs as they head out to get what to eat.

they both with into town, and kept trying to figure out what to eat but was still stuck with nothing.

"I think we should go eat rice and stew from that lady at ABK, even duo the food is not that good, at least it's something" Tory finally said out of frustration.

"I don't really feel like eating rice at all, let's try to get soup instead " Grace suggested.

"what if we don't find where to get soup what do we eat then???" Tory asks.

" am really tired and hungry, if we don't see soup then we'll get the rice instead." Grace smiles.

Tory was really tired and hungry and was in no mood to be moving around finding one special food when they could just get rice that was easy to get. all she knew was that she needed a good night's sleep cause she can't remember when last she slept peacefully.
