Leaving the mist

Kakashi POV

Those three have been gone the whole night, after terumi san sauntered away the people got on with their work. The sealing squad she had prepared had began a transferring ritual into a blue haired girl called Saya Sasamiya. She's the quiet type and is more suited to handling the three tails due to a mental calming jutsu she possesses or so the story goes.

I noticed the ritual as it had similarities to minato sensei and kushina-Sama's work that I saw while I guarding her during her pregnancy with naruto. I hope he's doing well under jiraiya sensei because he may leave him in a red light district to train. I gathered the corpse of the hyuga guy who died during the mission and sealed it within a scroll for his family to deal with.

Kuromaru chose to stick near me for most of the night, probably nervous about being surrounded by kiri ninja. Tonight is definitely one for the journal, never thought that little kid that cling onto Kurenai would be strong enough or stupid enough to tackle the three tails. That tail beast brings back some bad memories for me. The sun began rising and drew me away from my thoughts.

I should definitely go see if those three are ok. I sprinted towards their location which was easy to find with the craters toriko left as he sprinted. His flash step jutsu is amazing to witness as it can match a body flicker but when they're combined it's not hard to believe that only the raikage could keep up. I found my way to a cave that matched the description of yagura's secondary hideout. Kuromaru began scrunching his nose like something was overwhelming him.

"They're finished now so I suggest just calling out to them." He barked so I followed his lead. Some grumbling was heard from the cave followed by three silhouettes emerging from it. Toriko looked significantly stronger as his physique grew a little more robust. Tsume looked younger and more fit some reason but was walking funny and Terumi san was similar but her hair was put into a messy bun.

Toriko yawned and scratched his belly then went to get food. Just like his sister on a mission, she did the exact same thing when we worked together on stake outs. Mei and Tsume were beaming with joy which was uncharacteristic for both of them. I greeted them and went on about my day.

We made it back to camp and reported progress to terumi san who is a candidate to be her villages kage. From what I saw last night she is formidable and highly lethal with those kekkei genkai. After the reports were made and orders issued she was swept away along with tsume by her villages kunoichi. A lot of giggling and voices of awe were heard from the tent that made the men's ears bulge followed by Their imminent depression.

I made my way to toriko who was stuffing his face with a big grin as per usual with some of those dishes that put him on the map. I've tried them before and I have to say they are revolutionary interms of gourmet culture though not very useful to a ninja. Never let an Akimichi hear that from you though, Asuma made a horrible mistake bragging to his girlfriend about it and was overheard.

After his little crush was crushed during their time as genin he started talking about her behind her back which was very petty. Now he does it when he's drunk which is kinda annoying. He acts like he hates their food but still scarfs down their alcohol. I heard rumours about him asking his old man lord third to pressure her into a political marriage but I honestly can't see that being true.

Toriko passed me a bowl of what he called "goulash". It was very flavourful and constantly battered my tastebuds. Reminded me of when kushina-sama took us to ramen for the first time. Good times. Ao-san also joined us and we chatted for a bit about the battle. He asked toriko about his jutsu and he just said it's called gourmet style, an odd name for a kekkei genkai but who am I to judge.

Once the ritual on Saya san was complete yagura passed away with a smile so we were scheduled to go home. Our separation from the kiri ninja was harsh as the kunoichi spearheaded by Terumi san asked toriko to join their village instead. His culinary skills can capture anyone, his combat and tracking skills are top tier, he's trained by one of the sannin personally and they said something about him being a beast but I tunes that bit out.

Tsume chose to ride kuromaru back to konoha because she may have been injured during the fight. Understandable so I didn't complain. Toriko however was a problem, his speed was too fast for us so we had to repeatedly use body flicker and chakra enhancement to keep up. He said his base speed increased because of the food but that's really far fetched. His sister never grew this much after one meal but did spontaneously grow stronger after returning home.

After a day we needed to rest, I saw toriko slip off towards a mountain range so chose to follow him. I heard him mention a jutsu I had never heard before then suddenly he swung his arm and the mountain was heavily damaged. I whipped out my Sharingan to check what happened but I saw four holes indented through the mountain. I thought over the words he muttered before firing that jutsu.

"Scorch style- jet mode. Jet fork".

Scary, if pakura was really capable of this she might end up as the next kazekage should she choose to return. Then I saw toriko grab his arms and use healing jutsu on them which means this is a new jutsu for him that he just attempted. It's good that he's not growing to quickly, I've seen what fast promotion can do to someone first hand. At least his sister can't do that. Wait didn't he say he had some of the meat stored for her?
