What should have been a casual fling before Terry starts the first semester of his second degree suddenly gets out of hand when he discovers Kyle, the hot older man he met at a bar, is one of his professors. Terry doesn’t want either of them to get in trouble, but he can’t forget that wild night in his car. He’s willing to wait to pick up where he and Kyle left off.<br><br>But “Professor Weiman” is adamant about forgetting Terry exists, going as far as ignoring him during class.<br><br>Terry knows he has what it takes to be a top student. “How old is too old for a book source?” Terry asked. “Does it depend on the topic or should we simply not use anything published before a certain year?”

Kyle grudgingly looked at Terry to reply. Though his eyes were emotionless, Terry felt his heart clench. “It would depend on the topic, but in general I’d advise against using anything published before nineteen-eighty unless you’re comparing new and old studies to show how new evidence has changed the facts. And while that is a good question, please wait until you are called upon next time you have one.” With that, Terry went back to being invisible.

Terry wasn’t the only one surprised by how curt Kyle’s response had been. The guy sitting next to him leaned over and said, “Damn, did you run over his dog or something?” Terry shrugged and wrote a note in the margin of his rubric as an excuse not to say anything.
