Claire's P.O.V.

Each moment of the wait was becoming difficult since Liam had ranged me up saying he will be here. I was restless and had this strange feeling building up inside me that I couldn't fathom what it was. I was so close to catching him, I had my grip on him, so close to my revenge but he slipped, like always. I was angry at myself.

"Take a rest Claire and sit down. He isn't going to come any early by your fast pacing." Dad said looking up from the magazine.

"I was this close to catching him dad, so close but he slipped again. I can't believe how I missed that opportunity." I said looking at him.

He was silent for a few moments and just looked at me but was about to speak when the doorbell rang. I ran to open up. It was Liam. I moved aside to let him in.

"Would you like any coffee?" I asked him as I led him to the couch near dad but we both knew it was just a formality to which he was already going to say no.
