8 Chapter 8

After recovering from the dizziness which I got from standing after a while, I started my testing with jumping slightly and found that with a small amount of force I was able to reach the roof hence my physical capabilities were indeed enhanced, While I was getting ready to test my punching strength against the walls I was interrupted by Kanou.

"Calm down there Mr Half Ghoul, You don't want to be buried in this lab alongside me I believe, let's go up first, I have a mini forest build on this land so we can use that as a form of your testing grounds."

I nodded my head and soon we both reached the area, It wasn't very large but it also wasn't very small aswell, must have cost a dime to get this much land.

I tried punching the trees and was easily able to knock em off, though it kinda hurt me a bit but it was bearable, felt the same as when I used to punch walls back then in my youngster days to show off in front of my friends.

"So how should I activate my Kagune?" I asked Kanou.

"Don't know, if you find out do tell me." Kanou waved his hand and said with a carefree smile.

This guy seriously doesn't care much about his test subjects after his experiment is successful, I thought while twitching my lips.

I could feel some foreign object inside my body, but as to how to activate it I have no clue at the moment, I tried tightening my abs to get the Kagune out but I ended up getting a fart instead of a Kagune...sigh. Ghouls fart apparently don't have any smell, I guess it's because it would prove disadvantageous to their strong ability to smell.

I guess the problem is due to my low RC cells cause I've just recovered from the surgery.

"When should I eat the human flesh?" I asked Kanou,

"Well you shouldn't be feeling hungry right now, the effects of starvation should show in a month and a half I estimate, though you can still eat it now for the sake of experience, I have some human Flesh preserved in my lab refrigerator from the last time I was grooming a genetically modified ghoul, Wanna give it a try?" Kanou said while looking at me with a sadistic look.

I mused for a bit and nodded my head, Soon, I was sitting in Kanou's dining room while he went towards his kitchen. I was grossed out just thinking about whose bones and flesh I would be consuming but still, there was tiny anticipation in me aswell.

"Here it is," Kanou said while carrying over a tray with a plate having a large piece of meat nicely cut and arranged on it, I must say he did have some skills in presenting the food, I thought while feeling kind of nervous and grossed out after seeing the human meat, It hand a kind of rough texture to it visible, What's worse is that I could still see the human skin on these meats...wait is that hair...

"Enjoy." Kanou smiled and gestured me to eat it,

I felt like throwing the plate content over his hateful smile..but in the end, I didn't. I grabbed the fork and knife, cut a small piece of meat and brought it near my nose.

*Sniff*

*Gulp*

Strangely enough, the gross smell I was expecting didn't come but instead the smell of one of my favourite foods 'Chole bhature' filled my nostrils and without even me realizing I had emptied the Plate.

"Not bad", I said to Kanou while chewing the leftover flesh in my mouth and licking my lips as he stared at my bloody mouth and my right eye with a gleeful smile.
