10 Campaign of Horror.

(If characters speak another language, I will state this, but write in English. Even though Spanish was my first language, I never learned to write it well.)

Once they were given their adjective, the Shadow Horrors moved with cruel resolve. Victor had created thousands of them, from tiny creatures to the nightmares that inhabited the human mind.

These beasts of darkness were made from animated darkness and given life through Divine Mana. These creatures began to travel ahead of their master, using their abilities to track down prey.

In particular, Victor decided to start from the state of Chihuahua since it was one of 6 Mexican States that bordered the United States. He camouflaged himself as a tourist when he made it to the border state.

In particular, he chose the capital of Chihuahua City. Victor had done his fair share of Justice League research when he arrived. Several countries, including Mexico, had issues with the League, so the government passed laws limiting their involvement unless allowed.

This has caused soured relations with America, which saw the Justice League as an extension of their influence. In a way, they were right since the President of the United States gave considerable backing to the League.

That is another reason Victor chose to work solo. Rather than run around too much, he allowed his shadows to do their reconnaissance for him. A few hours later, Victor walked around the city alone since even Yami was in his shadows.

It was around midnight, and like everywhere else, the crime happened most after dark through an extensive array of shadows. He was sent information about the city. He had planned to keep hidden, but as he walked around the town, he noticed that he was being followed.

Despite trying to act like a tourist, he stood out from the look of things. He was 6'5, built like a tank, and had walked around the entire city all day, causing him to be reported by the spies of the Cartel.

He just stood out too much since his features were quite noticeable.

"Last time I try to act like a tourist, it just doesn't work."

The people tracking him emerged from their hiding place when he stopped moving. They were armed but didn't stand out, as criminals rarely stood out. Victor opened his hands, causing two M4 Carbines to be dragged into his hands

He surged his Divine Mana into the weapons, causing dark crimson veins to pulse though the guns. He unloaded the two charged Carbines without mercy and tore his trackers apart. Once they were dead, using tentacles of shadows, he reloaded the Carbines as now it was open season.

"It's going to be a long, brutal night."

His shadow armor formed around him from the shadows with his sword on his back. At his side, Yami dragged himself out of his shadow alongside the rest of his Shikigami. Once those large creatures were out, he got rid of all pretense of being a tourist.

All around him, the Shadow Horrors he created gathered in the thousands. Before he started, he created a large Bounded Field to separate the entire city and prevent people from entering or leaving.

This also caused all cameras, electronics, and technology to cease working, making the entire city dark. He and his Shikigami were at their strongest in the Shadows as they had more shadows to draw on.

"GO! Start your rampage."

With dark glee, these constructs of darkness who had been hiding in the shadows made themselves known. While modern cities were relatively bright, it was impossible to eliminate all the shadows where these creatures made their homes.

Especially now in the Bounded Field, which has eliminated nearly all light. It was impossible to see a few feet in front of you, causing the city to feel like they were on the dark side of the moon.

Once they received the order, the horrors roared and spread through the city to begin their hunt. Victor turned to Yami, who had Rumi on his head.

"Rumi, bring your clones."

The black rabbit turned to him, and with a tilt of the head, she used her ability. Instantly, she created thousands of clones of herself, and they began to rush through the sealed city.

Victor focused on the abilities of his Shikigami, and he used her ability as well, creating hundreds of identical copies of himself. They all wore copies of his armor and sword, but they were mindless like the copies Rumi made.

'Spread out and hunt.'

Instantly, the Shadow Horrors, Rabbits, and his clones spread through the City like an army. Several rabbits accompanied each of his clones as the horrors had already found different stockpiles of products that would be moved north to America.

However, that would not be happening as his rabbits and Clones traveled to these stockpiles, where they began to destroy everything. They would steal any money and guns while destroying the drugs and killing any drug dealers, pimps, and gunmen they discovered.

As for Victor himself, he and his Shikigami didn't even lift a finger as they walked around the city. As he did, people hid in their homes in terror of being part of the cleanup. However, they had nothing to worry about since Victor only killed criminals.

While the citizens hid themselves in their homes, his 'army' began a massive campaign of Horror. As he walked with his Shikigami, he could hear gunshots from gunmen who were desperately trying to stay alive under the swarm of flesh-tearing rabbits.

They were failing, and while the rabbits were pretty easy to kill, Rumi could create more using little energy from him. Currently, her third eye is closed as she is using her ability to look through the eyes of her clones.

When she felt a large chunk of her clones die, she turned to Victor and, with a series of squeaks, informed him of a Meta human fighting off her clones.

"Show me."

When she transferred the images, he saw a young man no older than 17 who was destroying the rabbit clones with the ability to control stone. He used this power to crush the rabbits in mass as he tried to protect the stockpile he was ordered to protect.

Victor sent an order to his clones who were nearby. When the armored clones began to gather, the meta cursed in Spanish as he looked at those heavily armored things.

"FUCKING SHIT!"

He slammed his foot into the ground and created an elevated pillar to escape the rabbits. However, before he could retaliate, Victor's clones began to make giant Great Bows in their hands.

They knocked arrows in them and drew the drawstring before aiming it at him.

'Mother-'

Before he finished the shot, over 20 black spear-like arrows tore through his body like he was made of butter. When he was dead, the Rabbits rushed into the hidden stockpile, where they descended on criminals like piranhas.

Victor's clones dropped their bows before they grabbed their swords and rushed alongside their fellow clones. Inside, a group of gunmen barricaded themselves as they gathered as many weapons as they could.

They used whatever they had on hand to block off the door. These ruthless men were shaking in their boots as they had seen their associates devoured alive. One man in his hands held an automatic rifle, but even with that, he felt like he was armed with a pea shooter.

"We are going to die. All of us are dead men walking. We are going to be eaten alive."

Next to him, one of his associates aimed his gun at his head.

"Shut up, you say one more word, and I will kill you myself."

Rather than be afraid, he looked into the barrel.

"Go ahead; it will hurt less."

Just as the one holding the gun was going to pull the trigger from his shadow, a giant sword pierced through his chest. The shadow raised him off the ground before turning to the rest of the gunman.

Victor spoke through this clone in broken Spanish.

"Welcome to the feast."

From their shadows, the swarm of rabbits rushed at them and drowned them in bodies and flesh-tearing teeth. Though, the gunman holding the rifle was spared from this fate. He had a worse fate in store as the clone turned to him.

It reached out and grabbed him by the face before dragging him into the shadows for torture. A fate worse than being eaten by the rabbit clones as their victims usually died of blood loss and shock quickly.

Being methodically tortured would be worse as you would live through the whole thing. The campaign of horror lasted until the morning when the clones exploded, destroying several buildings that had been used to launder money and other illegal activity.

Several corrupt police officers, which were far more than even Gotham wannabe Dallas, and politicians. The Death Toll was massive, but his shadows had screened all he killed. Not a single innocent person died, only criminals.

He had destroyed millions of dollars in drugs, taken smuggled American weapons and money, and he had even destroyed several labs where it was produced. All in all, for 8 hours, he had done good.

"Time to go home."

Before he left, he stopped supplying energy to his Clones, causing them all to dissipate into the shadows. Once they were gone, his Shikigami returned to his shadow before he teleported back to Dallas by switching places with the shadow he had left in his house.

When he left, the Bounded Field went down, which allowed the Mexican Army, who had gathered outside, to move into the city. Sealing away a city was difficult to hide, but since the Justice League wasn't allowed in Mexico, they could not move in to stop him.

When he appeared in his living room, Victor instantly dispelled his armor and stretched out when he arrived home.

"That felt good."

He walked over to his couch and fell into it with a big smile. His Shikigami began to leave his shadow, but they all made sure to shrink because there was no way Ramsa, Hannibal, Lancelot, or Siegfried could fit without causing damage.

They were allowed to move around once they were all as small as possible. It was funny to see Siegfried, the giant tiger, look no smaller than a kitten or Hannibal, the giant mammoth, look like a little calf.

Now that he was back home, his dogs and cat were also let out, and they instantly made themselves at home. However, Victor knew his method would eventually get him caught.

If he weren't careful, his true identity would be found out, which would be annoying. He leaned forward as he began to think carefully about what he would do. His alter ego, Cain, was already a wanted fugitive of the Justice League after the massacre he had done in Dallas.

Now, Mexico would want him, but for a third-world country, they couldn't do anything. The Cartels were in charge there, and other than tracking down 'Cain,' they could not find him.

His Shikigami and Pets waited for him to choose, as he seemed to be thinking. After a few moments, he made up his mind.

"We are going to be moving very soon. Honestly, I don't even view Dallas as anything more than where I was born. On the other hand, I know where we are going next. New York City.

We are not going to stay longer than necessary. We are taking the Sword of Baewolf and then moving east to Gotham. When we are there, I am going to kill the Joker, which will piss off his boyfriend, Batman.

We kick his ass when he comes to stop us, break into Wayne Manner, steal a bunch of shit, and then we leave. Once we do that, we will leave the United States and spend some time in Africa.

Like Yuta, we will be in intense, isolated training until 2010, when the teenage club starts. At that point, I will begin to hunt down the Light leaders. Good plan?"

He looked at his Shikigami, who, from the look of it, felt it was a good plan. It was a terrible plan, and Victor knew it, but he was getting bored. He was single, lonely, and struggling to find his place in this world by his actions.

He leaned back on his couch and thought of how to fix that. Joining the League was out of the question, and joining the Light was not his plan. The third option was to create his group, but who could he recruit?

With a sigh, he fell on his couch, struggling to find a goal in this world. What would he do with his life other than fighting crime forever? As Victor pondered on things, his eyes grew heavy, and with a yawn, he fell asleep.

For the first time, he fell asleep deep enough to dream. This was not a natural dream as, for the first time, Victor had been dragged into the Dreaming along with Yami. Opening his eyes, he found himself in a forest without any light.

As he and Yami looked around, they were confused as Victor had never had a dream since coming here.

"Shit."

When he realized where he was, he panicked.

"No need for alarm; I won't kill you. Now, turn around."

Victor groaned as he turned around and laid eyes on Dream himself.

'Shit.'
