Chapter Seven: Humans in our territory.

"Why do you have to protect yourself from humans? When you could stay in the city and live like normal humans?"

Azhea wasn't sure why she came out of that question, but Choven found it pretty interesting, no one had ever asked them nor suggest to live with humans before.

He then chuckled, "because we can not change the fact that we are not normal humans," he answered, and as Azhea stared at his chuckling face, she was more aware that he was serious even if he was chuckling.

"But you can, just don't form into a wolf and think of yourselves as normal as we are," She said.

She examined his reactions but the weather became intense. Choven cracked his knuckles and took a deep breath. Azhea could feel the fiery man beside her that made her felt nervous. She couldn't understand why he switched mood so suddenly.

He fiercely looked at her, "Who cares about living with humans?!"

Azhea gasped.

"We are not normal, we can shapeshift into a wolf when things went wrong, and you can not assure that all of us to stay into our human forms when we knew exactly what we are and what we are capable of. And people will never treat us normally. Even if you tried your best to hide your secrets and form into a beast as stealthy as you could, humans have a lot of eyes everywhere," he said as he set his teeth together mixed with a deep breath.

"Lots of eyes? What do you mean?" She asked, curious what's behind the phrase.

"Urgh! Cameras," he groaned and Azhea knew exactly what he meant, CCTV.

"You even know CCTV," she murmured.

"WHAT?!" He exclaimed.

She gasped and said, "nothing, yeah nothing."

"They are stunning and too heedful. Now I am going to hate a person who is smart enough not to get caught. They are also dangerous, they could commit perfect crimes," she spoke in herself.

"I never expected that you thought about that," she whispered but Choven didn't hear what she said when someone came running towards them.

"Choven, we have a serious problem," Zhukre said and glared at Azhea.

"What?" Choven said seriously, while Azhea was confused about what was happening. Menriszz watched Azhea and Zhukre pulled Choven and whispered, "Rio found a group of people searching for this girl and her friends near hear while heading to the city," his voice was hard and deep, he was blaming Choven.

"We can not let people near our pack, Choven. This is all your fault," he was trembling in anger.

"Even if I didn't save her, Zhukre. They would come here and search for them," he said which Zhukre knew that he got a point about it.

Zhukre calmed down his anger and Choven did the same.

"Where are they now, who lured them?" Choven asked.

"Benj and Alken did, they pretended as hunters and helped them with the search to keep them away from here," Zhukre explained. And Choven breath in relief but they had to be cautious. They gathered the pack and made sure that they won't wander around for the humans had firearms.

Azhea could hear them talking because they were not that far from them, and she knows it was his father and her group, his father was a soldier.

"Please, father come in to hear," she prayed, and it seems that it was heard from the above.

"Choven, they are coming in here, Benj told me to tell you and prepared for combat," Yansu said and Choven and Zhukre looked at each other.

"Fuck! This can't be," yelled Zhukre while Choven tried hard enough to come off with a plan. He told old everyone to hide in the cave as he thought of how to sort things out.

"Choven, we have no choice but to kill them," Zhukre said, and Azhea's eyes widened in horror and went near them.

"No! You can't kill my father," she yelled and Menriszz pulled her but she insisted, and kept yelling.

"You knew that we don't kill anyone. If we are murderers, flies were now celebrating around you," he exclaimed and Azhea was speechless. Menriszz pulled her back into the cave and they threatened her to keep quiet. She was nervous around the pack and all she could do was cry quietly.

"What are we going to do now?" Zhukre asked.

"We're going to scare them away," he said and shapeshifted into a wolf and Zhukre called three from their pack to help them.

They showed themselves to humans, but then, Azhea's father was brave and pointed the gun at Zhukre.

"There's a wolf here?" He whispered and seriously looked at Zhukre.

Benj and Alken didn't know what to do, and also the others.

Zhukre couldn't move and Benj held the man's shoulder, trembling.

"Sir, I think it won't attack," he whispered in fear, and Azhea's father lowered his gun and Zhukre walked away.

"That was almost near," he whispered and Choven thought of something...

They gathered a few werewolves.

The humans were surprised by the stealth of the pack when they attacked them and pulled their weapons away from them. While Choven and Zhukre jumped to Benj and Alken.

Alken and Benj were confused about why did they also attack them.

Choven groaned and Benj was trembling yet confused and then Choven whispered, "It may hurt you but pretend that you are dead and be sure not to turn into a wolf as possible." Choven was serious while on the other side, Azhea's father and her group couldn't move as they watched them.

Benj couldn't understand what was happening and then he got surprised when Choven bit his shoulders. He groaned in pain, and Choven was worried and Zhukre did the same. The humans got afraid and ran away from them as fast as they could and the pack didn't bother to follow them.

The moment that the humans were gone they immediately turned into a wolf, groaning.

"We're sorry, we have no choice but to do that," Choven said and helped them. Benj and Alken didn't complain because they were more afraid that one of them will die.
