3 Chapter 3 - The Mikaelson Family

Over the next few weeks, I learned more about the Mikaelson family and their complicated history. Elijah showed me around the compound, introducing me to his siblings, Klaus, Rebekah, Kol, and Finn.

Klaus, the oldest and most powerful, seemed to take an immediate interest in me. He was fiercely protective of his family and refused to let anyone threaten them. Rebekah was more outgoing and seemed to enjoy teasing her brothers, but she was also fiercely loyal to her family.

Kol was mischievous and often got into trouble, but his intelligence and resourcefulness made him a valuable asset to the family. And Finn, the youngest but also the most reserved, often kept to himself but was always there when his siblings needed him.

As I got to know each of them, I realized that they all had their own unique strengths, weaknesses, and quirks. But despite their differences, they were all bound by a deep love for each other and a fierce loyalty to their family.

And now, I was a part of that family.

As I spent more time with them, I began to learn how to control my powers as a Mikaelson. I practiced using my strength and speed, and Elijah taught me how to compel humans and weaker vampires.

But even as I learned, I couldn't shake the feeling that there was something my new family was keeping from me. Whenever I brought it up, they would deflect or change the subject, and I couldn't get a straight answer out of any of them.

One day, as I sat with Rebekah in the courtyard of the compound, I decided to try again.

"Rebekah, can I ask you something?" I said hesitantly. "What happened to me before I was reborn as a Mikaelson?"

Rebekah's face clouded over, and she hesitated before answering. "It's complicated," she said finally. "There were...circumstances that led to your death, and someone thought it would be beneficial to turn you into one of us."

"Who?" I pressed. "Who turned me?"

Rebekah hesitated again before replying. "It's not important. What's important is that you're one of us now, and we have to stick together."

But I couldn't let it go. The nagging feeling that there was something important they weren't telling me wouldn't go away.

Finally, one night, I approached Klaus, who was brooding in his study. "Klaus, I need to know the truth. Who turned me into a vampire?"

Klaus looked up at me, his expression unreadable. "It was me," he said finally. "I needed a new ally, someone who could help me protect our family against our enemies. And I saw potential in you."

I was stunned. Klaus had turned me into a vampire for his own purposes? I couldn't believe it.

But then Klaus continued, his voice softening. "But you're not just a pawn to me. You're a part of our family now, and I want to help you become the best vampire you can be."

Despite everything, I couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude toward Klaus. He had given me a second chance at life, even if it was for his own purposes.

And with that understanding, I felt like I could truly embrace my new life as a Mikaelson vampire.
