"Alex, It's not the right time."

I know he's right. But I'm not in the right mind to tell him when my mate is in danger.

"She might not be ready, let her calm down for few days, "Chris told me.

It's awkward now. I know I'm the one who rejected her. Now I'm also the one demanding to bring her here. The hell she will, after the way I treated her. And I'm damn sure her brother won't even let me speak to her.

"You, go now take rest, It's a week, you didn't even leave the office. Did you even go to your room after we came back" Chris asked me while looking me head to toe.

I rolled my eyes at him.

Well, I know he's worried. It's true, I didn't even unpack my bags. However, it would already in my room.

I decided to take a shower. It's not like I stink. I have a bathroom in my office, I usually took there when things got busy.

I started unpacking my bag when I caught an envelope, what's this? who put this in my bag, is it a warning letter from him?

'CHRIS, COME TO MY ROOM NOW'

"What happened? "he asked me breathing hard.

"Letter, read it" he glared at me.

"Why don't you read it? It's for you?"He rolled his eyes at me.

"What if I got poisoned, you read it"I smirked at him.

"So you don't mind I'm getting poisoned"

"Don't be dramatic, now read it"He's being childish.

"Okay, if I die it's your fault"

I mentally punched myself why do I have a stupid best friend.

I glared at him.

Fuck, it's her, what is this even meant by the son of chocolate.

"Give it to me, Chris"I hissed at him.

I tried to grab the letter from him, he already started running around my room. I tackled him, grab the letter from him and smirked at him.

"I don't need you anymore, GET OUT"I yelled.

"Don't be too desperate, it's already in your hand" He rolled his eyes.

"I'm not desperate" I whined.

"Keep saying that" He smirked at me and left.

I'm not desperate, I'm the most powerful alpha in the world. I just got curious about what she wrote for me.

I'm desperate for a letter?Never gonna happen.Huh.I unfolded the letter started reading.

My wolf growled.

Now, this sounds like her. I didn't read anything funnier than this. What's she even meant by this letter. I chuckled.

Well, I have to call her father.

I dialled his number within the second ring he picked up the call.

"Alex, how's it going? " He asked me sounding worried.

"We couldn't find their location yet"

"I will also assign our best trackers to find that son of bitch"

"Well, how's she? Is she alright? "

"Yes, she is getting better, she injured her right leg. It's healing but she need support to move around"

"Did she ask anything about the attack? "

"Not yet. " He father told me relaxed.

"She will get suspicious if this happens again there, I think it's better if she comes here, could you please let her come with me" I requested him. I don't know he will let me take her.

"Are you sure?"

"I think it's better for now"

"I don't know she will come with you, you come here next week just ask her out. If she is alright with that. Then take her"

"Okay, I will let you know when I'm coming"

"Don't let her know anything, we are hiding this from her for years, keep her out of this matter. "

We disconnected our call, my mind went to the time everything happened. That day everything destroyed. Trust and love had been forbidden thing for me since that day.

It wasn't the only mine that destroyed, Uncle Jackson also had a huge loss. We did something to protect Amy that day.
