I called my brother for what felt like the hundredth time in just a few seconds. Tears were falling down my face as I listened to the local news. A crash in the city had caused thousands injured, and fifteen dead in just a few seconds. A bomb had been placed under a vehicle, and people didn't have the slightest idea that they were there. When they hit the breaks, the bombs exploded. That wasn't the only thing that happened today. A massacre at the biggest mall in the city killed two hundred. Due to the bomb situation, police weren't able to make it in time to catch the murder.

I tried calling my brother again, only to get the same voice message again. Tears were rolling down my face as I continued to watch the news. How could people do this to each other? Why did the world have to be such a cold and dark place?

'Because we play a game of life. Only those worthy are allowed to continue the game. That's why darkness is everywhere. People don't understand that the only way to complete the game is through each other, but they are too stupid to understand simple things. They think the world is colder than what it has to be. That is why darkness is always able to win. The light is never the winner, because people only win in dark ways. That is why kids are so pure, is because they are given the right direction. Then society leads them to the wrong end.'

I looked around for the voice that voiced these words, but couldn't find it anywhere. I continued to listen, to see if my brother was affected by any of this. Why didn't I just go and pick him up? It would be a lot safer, and I wouldn't be panicking right now. Regret filled my mind as my tears began to blur my vision. I started to hum the melody of one of the songs that my brother showed me. I went upstairs to our parents' room. They weren't home and they will never return to me. I wonder why fate dealt me this hand. Daren entered the room with a smile on his face.

"Don't worry, your brother is just fine." Daren had a weird smile on his face. His voice even sounded like Levi's. "I will be your brother now."

"What do you mean?" I backed slowly away from him.

"I tried to kill him, but his body brought him back. I even got you to start trusting Bradon, though he doesn't exist, well not fully anyways." He smiled. "He's gone but I remain. I would love it if you started calling me Levi from now on. I never like the name Daren. It never quite suited me."

"What do you mean? You can't possibly-"

"That's exactly what I'm saying." He stepped into the light. He looked exactly like Levi. "You can either play along with my little game, or I will have to kill you as well. I would hate to harm you. Especially since you're such a nice girl. Plus I made you such a good man to have a long relationship with! Brandon seems to be quite smitten with you, my little sis. Would you break his heart by rejecting him?"

I knew that there was nothing I could do. I walked up to Da-Levi and hugged him. Showing that I was willing to play his game. Little does he know that everybody is capable of murder if you hurt what they hold dear.

He smiled happily at my acceptance, and walked me out of the room. He guided me towards his car and helped me get in.

"Where are we going?" I looked at him in false happiness. I made sure my smile held warmth and excitement. Right now is not my time to attack, but I hope the time comes soon. Rest in peace, brother, for this man won't be around for much longer. For this is the game, the game of life, and I don't plan to lose against anyone.
