The Grim Reaper Unit

He leaves us inside the office of Commander Mosolize. "Good morning commander." we offer greets hi as per army regulations. He was standing before floor to ceiling window, looking outside. Without facing us he start to announce. "I've a request for you both, to stop your current assignment and accept new mission. Last night something happens to HAL, Handler of Grim Reaper Unit..."

He didn't say further but gesture us to pick the report and analyse it. Lena step forward and come back to where I was, with report in her hands. She grabbed my arm tightly as she start reading it aloud.

" THE Unit 1,Squadron 1 named 'The Grim Reaper Unit', handled by handler HAL, He commits suicide last night. After two hour of victory. He left a note saying he can't take it anymore, he heard strange voices as he put GALE on."

"Commander how can this post be free for last twelve hours. Isn't it same Squadron unit that won Area unit 11 ward B." in confusion I ask. Commander face us and walk toward his chair as he says " That's the sole reason, higher-ups and I want both of you to take over the command of the Reaper Unit as new handler. There are no other candidates for this important unit. "

[How can there be?,all the other handler play games, drink and eat instead of giving topographical information , enemy location and numbers, to their units inside common room.]

He place two blue colour files on table as we stand in front of him.

" Take these files and sign them." before signing them I ask him a question.

"Does Dad knows about it?" as I ask him I ca clearly see in his eyes and written on his face this phrase ' No Personal questions here'

" Lena Ayaburg and Dylan Al'Xander you are promoted to highest level of subordinates under me that is Sacred Major" He announced

As we sign the document and change the number of star shaped badge on our uniform and add two more azure coloured stars on our shoulders. Then he smiles at us and add

" These are promotion latter, of course you don't need it but formalities, and official documents that you are taking after Officer HAL in commanding and controlling Unit Reaper. Both of you are youngest Sacred Major ever."

In the history of Arizone we are first to be promoted at the post of Sacred Major in age of mere seventeen as one has to wait for this post until his age of Forty.

[ If I can go back to that time perhaps I might be able to stop us signing these documents that bound us. I wonder if I can.]

AFTERNOON ; LUNCH BREAK

By the lunch time, the news of our promotion spread everywhere in headquarters. My all friends get together in Gibbs' laboratory.

" Here is real time Strawberry cake. This one has all real ingredients that casts me a fortune." Lena announced the arrival of her treat which is granted by our cheerful claps.

"The cake, a real time cake maned by hands of Sacred Major, Lena I'm flattered." Sam says in his iconic voice which make us laugh. You may be wondering eating, drinking and talking is not allowed in laboratory then why are we doing so. That's because we are in his office which is a large laboratory run only by him. Gibbs has this previlege to work under no one's interface. So we can do whatever we want in his laboratory type office in lunch break. And this time we are in small resting room in his office as he has to overnight sometimes. According to Gibbs going home and then coming back in morning is just waste of time and I can cover this time wasted if I go home, to my babies.

" This is very delicious unlike those made by factories." soon after we done eating, comment session starts.

"Thank you all" Lena humbly says.

Upon that Gibbs stand up with his glass of fresh fruits juice held out.

" To Dylan and Lena for being Sacred Major"

All of them hold their glass for us. I also join Gibbs and says "To us."

[ the simple yet beautiful were those days. I will clearly missed this time in future of us very much.]

After some time, everyone left for work. Now in huge laboratory are only three of us. Gibbs is checking our vitals and GALE ( a semi ringed device made of special crystal came from the land of Meges, Which connects us to

PARA-GALE special equipment)

"You both are really weirdo. Why accept it? The reaper unit is quite dangerous unit out off all units." While checking our devices, Gibbs is scolding us. He put the devices into a glass and black titanium box.

"Being able to serve for Nation and Arizone, it's not a thing that any person can do." Hearing my answer Gibbs Frowns and says

"Those stories are true!!!! We've encountered them. All previous Handler of Reaper Unit dies."

"Gibbs you are thinking too much, all of them dies with natural calls of committing suicide. Do you have evidence that Reaper is behind this. These are just ghost stories made by lay man." Lena says by turning toward glass cube.

"There is nothing wrong with GALE though because they were already dead and we can't find as such thing called evidence."

I was pretending not to listen and effected by what Gibbs was saying but I can clearly listen worried voice of Gibbs seems wrong. Wasn't he is that kind of person who always think and do things rationally. I walk towards him and put my hand over his shoulders and says "Nothing is going to happen Gibbs. Basically only hundred days are left since the shut down of fighting equipment of Aqua's ( army of fighting equipment of Neighbouring Empire with which they are in a war.) ever since the fall of AQUA the AQ' reborts, the special reborts are coming on the war ground in less and less numbers of enemy's squads are coming. This is evident by stopping of AQ's in between the fights during thses days. " I ensures him nothing will be happening to us.

[ What if this wars stops and another starts who knows what's in future.] Gibbs only thought.

" You two are really weirdo especially you Dylan. " hopelessly he pouts. Lena walk toward the glass-titanium box and pick our GALE.

"Thanks for compliment Gibbs." lena says which is followed by our laughter. As I saw her going toward entrance I quickly write a note for Gibbs and hand it to him. I move my lips without talking saying

"Do this task as soon as possible. "

Gibbs was dumbstruck for a second then as he read the note and he says

"okay"
