Our Child of Light (Epilouge)

Sophie and Nathan's families returned home. Sophie carried her broken scythe in her hands. When they arrived home Sophie left to find a nearby blacksmith. She asked the best one in her village to take the metal of the scythe and to forge it into a blade. Then for him to take the wood and jewels and make them into the hilt. A few hours later Sophie returned home, and in her hands was a sword, gleaming with the magic of two women, soon to be three. When Sophie arrived home she handed the sword the Alina to allow her to input her magic into the blade. It only took a few seconds, but the blade was now embedded with magic. Magic from two different families.

"Nathan! Come on! It's almost time!" Charles said frantically running around the room.

"Dad, calm down. We have three hours till the wedding," Nathan said fixing his suit jacket.

"I know,I know. But you still have to do so much more," Charles said attaching Nathan's boutonniere.

"Dad. We'll get it done. All of it. now can you please stop messing with my suit."

"Sophie, where's your dress? I need to make sure the stiches are tight enough," Alina said searching around the room.

"Mom. it's upstairs. I think the stiches are perfect," Sophie replied while having her hair put up in a bun.

'I just need to make sure," Alina said going up the stairs.

Nathan stood up at the altar, sweat rolling down his worried face. He looked on as his newfound friends watched. One by one the bridesmaids and groomsmen walked down the aisle.

Sophie stood in the hallway, breathing heavily. Her mother was standing next to her messing with her hair. "Lyle, are you ready?" She said.

"Yeah. I think it's time." He said wrapping his arm around Sophie. "You ready sweetheart?"

"Yeah, I'm ready let's do this," she said smiling. The doors opened in front of them and she took her first steps into her new life.

Sophie laid on a bed, panting. Nathan held her hand, smiling. "C'mon sweetie. Push. Just one more push!" Nathan said, gripping her hand tighter. With one agonizing yell, a baby girl was born.

"Mr and Mrs Elriyand? It's a.... girl?" the doctor said, handing the baby to Sophie. The baby had dark blue hair sprouting from its soft head. Gray feathered wings sprouted out her back. "Um, do you have a name?"

Sophie stroked the girl's face, "We do," she looked up at Nathan, "Vilsarana. We want to name her Vilsarana." Nathan looked at the little girl in his wife's arms. His grin grew bigger as he grabbed his daughter.

"Vilsarana.... our child of light."
