1 Unfortunately, I died but I lived

(AN) I would like to point out that I'm a new writer, and some grammar and descriptions will be wonky, and I'm hoping you guys can give me some constructive criticism,

"well, I guess I should explain how I came to be reborned and my backstory as well. To start, my name is Skylar Lochart, or Skye for short; I'm a 21-year-old female programmer with a lithe build and long black hair, and sky blue eyes. I'm what you would call an average beauty. Until I became a mangled corpse on the street, let me tell you it wasn't a relaxing death as I hoped it could've been. No, it was far from that. I looked like roadkill with streak marks on my tattered clothes and body, my head mushed in from the car's weight. And the strangest part was that I felt nothing. All I could hear was this faint voice in the back of my head".

"What did you say... another world?.. Ceyarus. I-I should be dead," Skye murmured.

*sigh* All right, I agree to your offer Seven Skye said reluctantly.

As Skye begins to go over what she agreed to, she is filled with immense pain and discomfort, like her soul was being stretched and mangled by an unknown force. As she lurches forward and suddenly kneels on the soft grass?...

As Skye slowly got her bearings and stood up from her knees, she was met with this otherworldly lush green forest that you would never see in New Hope.

"I guess I should figure out where I am and open my Starter gift pack," Skye said to herself, "Seven can you open my starter pack, please," I thought to myself.

"Alright, I can choose two basic skills and one advance skill," I thought to myself,

"Alright, hopefully, this works. I'll pick basic swordsmanship, basic magic, and advanced Energy manipulation. I'll go with a Longsword for my type of weapon, and I'll equip the basic armor.

[Transfering Skills/Equipment in 3....2...1]

As the system's voice fades away, the knowledge of swordsmanship and how to use magic gather and swirl around my brain as if it was a fading thought. As I looked around, I noticed that my entire body started to glow as bright as the Fullmoon, and as if it was from a scene from a movie, leather and cloth armor started appearing on top of my body. A sword suddenly appeared in my hand, giving a sudden weight to my arm that I almost toppled over from the weight.

As I was checking out the new equipment that appeared before me, I felt as if the entire earth was shaking before me. As I focused my eyes on what was making the noise, I felt a sudden chillness on the back of my neck.

And at first, I didn't believe the shape of the shadowed figure standing in front of me, but after the ordeal a few hours ago, I came to acceptance pretty quickly. The first thing I noticed was the beast's giant red eyes. They were the size of an emerald from the games that I played, but red... and glowing. As my eyes adjusted more to the light, I realized it was just as I feared and just as impossible. The Minotaur snorted steam from its bullnose and dragged its human foot back and forth on the grass. It pointed its bovine head downward so that its sharp horns were pointed directly at me and charged. I did the only sensible thing and leaped to the right out of the way, screaming the entire time. The Minotaur, whose human half was built like a tank, crashed through several trees before stopping.

I went over my mythology in my head as the Minotaur began its charge again. I dodged off to the left, but it had somewhat anticipated that and swiped out at me with its claws, driving four slashes across my leather chest plate. Thankfully, its momentum from the charge carried it forward, and it wasn't able to do more than that one swipe that didn't pierce through.

Did Theseus do anything special to kill the Minotaur? He just stabbed it, didn't he? I don't think there was anything magical about his sword... These thoughts and more filled my head as the Minotaur made another pass and almost gored me right in the back. Now that I was practically faced to face with it, I could see its mouth was full of sharp teeth as well. Minotaurs are definitely carnivores.

Alright, calm down, Skye. You hopefully got this; as I steady my stance, my Longsword pointed forward with a slight angle held as the Minotaur began to charge again at me. I slowly focused my breath and began to evoke my magic around me. Please let this work, I thought to myself.

As if time seemed to slow down, I focused on the untamed fury of lightning, slowly letting it crawl around me and focused its energy around my Longsword; as I opened my eyes, I could see the Minotaur approaching me 10ft, 5ft, 4ft, I count down to myself. I shift my feet to dodge the charge and put my entire weight into my slash, tracing a blue line across the Minotaur's neck. Its body continued forward, but its head fell off the back of its body and landed upside-down, suspended in the air with its horns impaled in the grass.

"As I let out a breath, I just felt relieved, thank god that worked" I laughed anxiously as I fell to the ground on my butt.
