She then knocked because she reasoned that the time was up and Rito might have had a chance to sleep inside.

"Thank you, Mikan! I really dozed off inside the bath." After giving his head a scratch, Rito left the room while carrying a bath towel around his waist.

'Ehh!' Mikan noticed Rito had a towel around his waist when he first emerged from the bathroom and realized he had not completely wiped the water off.

She hurried out the door, blushing. Rito chuckled as he observed his upper body, which was still completely exposed.

Rito never used to be this conscious of his appearance in his previous life, but Mikan, who had exited the bath with a flushed expression on her face, might find it embarrassing.

Rito entered with a laugh and began to joke about the things he remembered from the previous life, which made Mikan smile and quickly caused the awkwardness to start to dissipate. Rito's entrance caused the awkwardness to momentarily vanish.

"Hmm! You still have not dried your hair, Mikan." Rito noticed that her hair was damp as he approached the table next to her, grabbed the hair dryer, and walked alongside her, patting her head.

"Ahh, I completely forgot about it, Rito." As she heard Rito ask for assistance with the dryer and began using the hair dryer to assist her, she was startled and thought about how Rito was today very attentive and picking up small details about her, making her feel a little happy.

"Thank you, Rito." Rito smiled and continued using the hair dryer next to her as she muttered. He found that Mikan's hair was incredibly healthy and comforting to pat as he used his hand to comb it and the dryer.

Mikan, on the other hand, appeared to be appreciating the treatment and had her eye closed while sensing her brother's gentle touch.

At one point, though, she noticed that he was beginning to change, but as she was being patted by him, she realized that he had not changed at all.

"I had no idea Sairenji-san would go for a morning stroll too." Sairenji remained silent as he spoke after sitting down, offering only a smile and a nod as they both turned away from one another.

"I don't know if Sairenji-san is free after school." Haruna was a little confused by Rito's abrupt question, which caused her to turn and look at him.

Rito was making an effort to act cool, but his face was slightly flushed.

"You see, my friend talked about a restaurant, but going alone in a place like that is really weird, so I thought of bringing others along, but having boys party in a cake shop, you know." Haruna chuckled as she imagined a group of boys eating cake in a posh bakery.

She thought that the atmosphere there might be quite exciting for someone with a vivid imagination, like those BL-type Otaku girls.

After leaving the house for school, Rito called Mikan, as he followed her and decided to see her off to her school but was rejected and was scolded to get back to his school and read something in the meantime.

However, as Mikan was moving, she turned to look back at the intersection and noticed that he was staring at her.She then walked around the bend and disappeared from his line of sight, which caused her to chuckle and feel a little happy inside.

After all, Mikan did not want to let him see this.

"Mikan-san, please go out with me." She was asked to date another boy who, as usual, was blushing profusely and had good looks. However, the boy had never considered how awkward it was for her when he proposed to her in front of other people.

"Ahh! Somya-kun, right? I am sorry, but currently I am focusing on studying, so I might not be able to date with anyone at the moment." He left after being rejected, and Mikan's two friends appeared from the side, grinning as they approached her and giving her a gossipy look.

"Sure! Let's go!" Rito nodded. Rito was left alone as the two of them left the classroom to eat their lunch, and when Saruyama had something to do and started to leave, Rito walked over to the vending machine and purchased the cool lemon juice to help him feel more refreshed.

As Kotegawa, the class representative, continued to ascend the stairs while carrying the massive stack of books, he noticed her.

"Kotegawa-san, let me help you." Kotegawa saw a student from her class picking up more than half of the load from her hand and smiled at her.

She knew him from before, but she was having a hard time remembering him, so she just shook her head and tried to decline.

"No, it's alright, given that today is my duty period, so it is not much." Rito smiled at her response and just turned to look at her while speaking.

"Let me act cool in front of you, class rep."

She blushed a little and nodded. She followed him to the class, and as she spoke about the class, Rito became aware of it. Kotegawa also noticed that Rito was quite knowledgeable in this subject and appeared to have practical knowledge pertaining to it.

Saruyama observed it all and felt that his friend had undergone a change—albeit a positive one, as he now finds it easy to converse with women—and that Rito's gaze was beginning to take on an air of confidence.

After the lunch break, the classes resumed, and Rito returned to class and began to concentrate on studying once more in silence.

"Ahh... This is tiring!" Rito was finally able to understand how difficult it is to be one of those goody-shoe students he had seen in the past because it was the first time he had paid such close attention during class.

And the outcome was very obvious to him and exhausting, but he also noticed significant improvements in his skills, and he could not help but think that he should continue working hard for the time being.

"Rito!" When he was about to cross the park, he found Mikan calling him and turned to look at her coming home alone.
