As Jake headed home after his activities for the day, he couldn't help but think about Haewon's attitude earlier.

What had prompted it? And why had it scared him so much that she had sounded indifferent towards him?

Why had he been sort of desperate to see her smile happily at him and hear her speak normally to him?

He had not planned to spend Saturday with her and didn't know why he had made that suggestion out of the blue. It was like his head was saying one thing, and his heart was saying another. It was an endless battle, one which he hoped to win.

He was so frustrated as he walked into his apartment that it did not occur to him at first that someone was inside until he heard the soft hum of music coming from the kitchen.

He knew it wasn't his grandmother, and it definitely wasn't Haewon either. That left only one other person.
