The moment Selena arrived at the office and Tessa saw her, Tessa knew something was off.

Selena was missing the usual Monday sparkle that she always had, and there was no extra spring in her steps.

"Good morning, Selena," Tessa greeted as she rose.

"Good morning. How are you?" Selena greeted as cheerfully as she could as she walked past Tessa into the office.

"I'm fine, but I can tell you're not. Did something happen?" Tessa asked with concern.

"I'm fine. Thanks for the coffee," Selena said with a smile of gratitude as she took her seat.

"So, what's on my schedule for today?" Selena asked before taking a sip from her coffee.

"First of all, Charles dropped that for you. He said your dad asked him to," Tessa said, pointing to a sealed envelope on Selena's desk, which she had not noticed was there before.

"What's in it?" Selena asked curiously.
