246 Punishment

Immediately it was lunch break Charlotte hurried out of the office, wanting to leave so she could return early enough.

She was very curious to know what had happened to Regina and also why Regina didn't want Jake to see her. Did something happen? Why did Regina suddenly want to see her when they had agreed to be extra careful of meeting each other since they moved to Korea?

She had visited Jake's apartment with Haewon once after his grandmother moved in, and they had both pretended not to know each other in any way.

She had been very jealous to see how nicely Regina treated Haewon compared to how Regina treated it, but she had consoled herself with the knowledge that Haewon was like a farm animal being fattened and well taken care of before slaughter.

On her way to the hospital she called the nurse to enquire if Jake was there and after she confirmed that Jake wasn't around she proceeded to get the information on Regina's ward number from the nurse.
