35 Only Friend

By the time Haewon and Charlotte got home, it was past five, and they headed straight to their bedrooms to freshen up, and when they were done, they decided to fix dinner instead of ordering a takeout.

As they busied with preparing dinner, Haewon's phone beeped, and she picked it up and smiled when she saw it was a text from Jake asking if she had gotten home safely or if she had gotten into trouble and needed his help.

Seeing the smile on Haewon's face as she read the text, Charlotte had no doubt that it was from Jake. Since Haewon didn't like to talk much while driving, she had done most of the talking in the car and was ready to get the gist of whatever had happened between Jake and Haewon that day.

"It's Jake, right? Did you both meet in school today?" Charlotte asked before Haewon could respond to his text, so Haewon decided to text him back later when they were done.
