To Love And To Hate

This is a story of betrayal, love lost, and love found again. Kim Haewon, radiantly beautiful and unsuspecting, finds herself irresistibly drawn to Jake Davies, a man she perceives as her knight in shining armor, who always appears miraculously at crucial moments in her life. Little does she know that their encounters were not mere coincidences, as she had assumed. Jake is a man on a mission, driven by the manipulations of his grandmother. Consumed by a thirst for revenge for his father's tragic demise, he is determined to rectify the past and reclaim what he believes is rightfully his. In order to achieve this, he sets his sights on winning the heart of Kim Haewon, the sole heiress to the fortune he seeks to acquire. However, what Jake never anticipated was the unexpected twist of fate that led him to fall deeply in love while orchestrating his deceitful plan to steal the affection of the woman he was meant to despise. Can he afford to allow love to blossom between himself and the daughter of his enemies? (Photo Credit to the real owner of cover photo! It’s not mine)

Ivy?

Ivy had a lot on her mind as she left the office. She was too bothered about all that was going on that her thoughts were not fixed on Gabe or the fact that she would be spending the next couple of hours with him.

She didn't like not having answers or not knowing what was going on, and right now, she was trying to put the pieces of information she had together.

She could understand Haewon fainting after she heard that Jake was Aunt Min-Jung's son. From what little she knew about Aunt Min-Jung's story, she could understand that it was possible that Jake had approached Haewon on purpose just to get close to the family. Maybe he had attempted suicide because he was feeling guilty about deceiving Haewon and everyone else.

What she couldn't understand was what all of these had to do with Charlotte and why the police were looking for her. What did Charlotte do? Ivy mused with a frown.
