40 First Kiss

"Thanks for tonight," Selena said when they got to her car, and she turned to face him.

She was feeling genuinely grateful that she had met him and he had kept her company.

Even though he had come off as very flirty at first, he had toned it down enough for them to have a normal conversation.

It was funny that they had not really had any serious conversations about themselves. They had both talked about everything else but themselves.

"The pleasure is all mine," Oliver said as he toyed with the tip of her hair while holding her gaze with his gray eyes, which were smoke-colored.

"You are so beautiful, Selena," Oliver whispered, and Selena felt her heart skip a beat.

She swallowed hard when he took a step closer to her, and she felt her knees go weak under the intensity of his gaze.

Unconsciously, Selena's tongue darted out of her mouth to wet her lips, and as though drawn in by her action, he lowered his face to hers as he took her lips in a kiss.
