Oliver greeted Tessa cheerfully but didn't notice the awkward smile she sent him as he walked past her into Selena's office.

The moment he walked into the office, he was surprised to see Charles seated with Selena, and he couldn't help but wonder why. He had thought their meeting was meant to be private. Maybe Charles was leaving soon, he thought.

"Good morning, Miss Selena. I'm sorry I didn't realize you were busy. I will wait outside," He greeted politely since he didn't want to treat her informally in the presence of a staff.

"There won't be any need for that, Mr Hills. Please come in," Selena said in a clipped tone, and Oliver tried not to frown.

Selena had asked Charles to join her because she did not want to face Oliver alone. She wanted Charles to be with her and help her in case Oliver decided to be difficult.
