272 Can't Be Happening

Min-jung, who was playing with Liam on the swing, unaware of all that was happening, picked up her phone when she received a text notification, and she smiled when she saw that it was from Jake.

She clicked on it, and her brows pulled together when she read the first line. The more she read, the more confused she became until she came to the part where he called her mom, and then it dawned on her what he was saying.

Jake was her son. Min-Jung mused, and even as she made the connection, she dialed his line.

When it didn't connect, she called out to Alex, "Alex!" She yelled, and Alex, who was in the garden a couple of feet away from them, came rushing over.

"What is wrong?" Alex asked, and Min-Jung thrust her phone at him so he could read the text.

"I need to go find Jake. Take care of Liam," she said as she hurried into the house, leaving her phone with Alex.
