The new Soldiery

Morning has arrived, and Alaric begins assisting Adira in packing her belongings, while Karasi sits in the distance, holding her book.

Alaric noticed Karasi's expression. A sense of sadness was etched on her face, and he turned to glance at the happy Adira before returning his eyes to Karasi.

"Do you want to come?" he said, assuming Karasi would want to see her sister off.

Karasi and Adira were caught off guard by their father's statements.

Most of the time, he and Adira go out in town. There's always a sense that he feels awful for Karasi since he wants his younger daughter to also enjoy and explore the town alongside them. So he decided to just let her see her sister off today.

"Isn't it dangerous for me to go out?" she asks in a remorseful tone. Adira then looked at her father, waiting for a response.

She wanted to let Karasi see her off, which is written on her face.

"It'll be fine; Papa's there," he said, smiling.

Adira's eyes expanded with excitement. She is more excited than her sister, who only reacts with little joy. Alaric feels at ease simply by watching them.

"Cover your hair with this scarf," her father urged, presenting a black scarf to Karasi. As her father said, she put it in her head.

After a few minutes of preparation. The three start heading out of their home. The sun greeted them, prompting Karasi to raise her palm to shield her face from it. It was her first time going outside in a broad morning.

Adira was holding her on the left side, Alaric on the right. Alaric was a little relieved that their nation was full of commoners who knew nothing about magic, which meant that no one could see auras.

After an exhausting walk. Avra greeted Adira with a shocked expression before turning to face Adira, who was beaming at her.

"Are you ready to go?" she inquired, smiling. Adira simply nodded before reaching for Avra's hand, which was already waiting for her to hold it.

"Let's go!" Mike exclaimed, excitedly. Avra looked at him, irritated as always.

"Why are you always making that face at me?" Mike muttered.

"Seeing you breathing annoys me," she said in a bitter tone. Mike only sneered at her, and she looked at the standing Alaric in front of them.

"We will take good care of Adira, mister." She said, bowing her head. Seeing her bowing motion, Mike followed and bowed as well.

"Please, do"

After saying their goodbyes. Avra and Mike start walking away, alongside Adira, who waves to Karasi, who is watching her take off. Karasi then met Avra's gaze, who took a look at her one last time, mystifying her.

"Let's head back home," he said. Karasi just nodded in response. He then lifted and carried her in his arms.

A day and a half of journey from Asvattha to Absalom. Avra, Mike, and Adira have safely returned to the Ariadne Tower. They were welcomed by the two front-door mages.

One of the mage's gaze is fixated on Adira, who appears to be in awe of her surroundings. Mike, on the other hand, notices the mage's stare and proceeds to approach him, leaning in for a whisper.

"She is twelve," he stated.

The mage made an "ow" expression, which made Mike smirk before following behind Avra. Before they approach Damayanti, who is waiting for them, he turns back at the mages and gives him a look that says, "I know she's pretty, but you can't. she's still young."

"Greetings, Priest Damayanti. This is Adira from Asvattha, the girl whom I was addressing last day" Avra explained.

Damayanti's attention turns to Adira's direction. He peered at her as if he was inspecting her, then smiled and touched Adira's head.

"I see, you will be great at swordsmanship," he said as he noticed the crimson hue the girl had. He then motioned for one of the mages standing in the distance to take Adira to her room Because it was already evening when the three arrived.

Many more magicians arrived with fresh recruits for the Armed Forces, and today was the final day before they began training. Most of the people that joined were between the ages of 10 and 18.

After losing sight of Adira, Avra said something that attracted the Priest.

"Three auras?"

"Yes, Priest Damayanti, we're still not sure if she was Adira's sister. But it appears she is," Avra explains. Mike suddenly said, "I also noticed the girl's white hair."

White hair...

"I see"

" You both should rest, and I appreciate your hard work today," he added. The two both bow their heads before leaving.

Damayanti has been pondering a lot after hearing what Avra stated.

It was already unusual to have two auras, let alone three. Never in the book was there a mention of someone with three auras.

Damayanti fears that this will generate turmoil and that if the nobles learn about the girl, it will be disastrous.

Without the knowledge to conceal Auras, the girl's life will be endangered.

Morning has arrived. The King and Her Royal Highness were invited to come down and congratulate all of the new soldiers at Ariadne Tower.

"Greetings, benevolent king," Alec said. The king rose from his seat, and the recruit warriors stood still, watching at him.

"Things are hard right now, but we're all gonna make it. With your dedication and commitment I can guarantee that our kingdom will be back to a peaceful day" He went on to say.

"What you learn in the Training will serve you for the rest of your life. Congratulations on joining the Ariadne Tower Armed Force. You chose to defend our Monarchy and the commitment you've made means so much. You all deserve my deepest gratitude"

After an hour, the speech and greetings ended. Following that, the new soldier was taken by tower mages to their cafeteria. Everyone sat down and ate.

After the soldiers finished, they were escorted and toured the tower. It was gigantic. The structure has a high ceiling, as well as its wooden and stone features. When you walk outdoors, you'll mistake it for a castle.

All of the soldiers were in awe as they toured the Tower. There is also a library and dungeon. They subsequently learned that the Tower of Ariadne was once a Kingdom, governed by their first saint. However, greed drove the aristocrats to invade it. The war took place a very long time ago.

The day ended exactly like that. Touring the area and learning the history of the tower.

[ The training starts like this...]

- Daily physical activity.

- Daily meditation.

- Daily swordsman-specific fitness.

- Sparring three to four times per week.

- Cross-training in various disciplines.

- Receive regular training from someone with greater experience.

After months of training, Adira became well-known at the training camp and was noticed by the king for her remarkable learning and incredible strength. She was practically born to be a Dame.

Later that day, when Themis and Damayanti were discussing Adira's excellency, Alec barged into Damayanti's office, confusing the two.

"Is there any problem?" Themis inquired.

"He's here" he stated while chasing his breath. Alec's action and expression confounded Themis and Damayanti.

"Who?"

"The red-haired boy."
