Chapter 9

Man! I think I am losing it. It's fun actually, just chasing one another without purpose. I like it. I mean how my day changed so drastically. I was sad and feeling lonely at a moment and out of nowhere this guy Ash shows up and makes it lively and fun. I guess anything is possible in this world.

We reach by a ferry shore by running. Wow I just got a good workout with this guy. He stops unpredictably causing me to bump into him. We fall together on the deck of the ferry causing us to get tangled into each other.

Him on floor and me on top of his back. "Ouch "He moans. We somehow manage to get ourselves up. "Are you okay?" I ask him, blushing heavily. "Yea, sort of" he rubs the bump on his head. He is also blushing. "I am sorry" I manage to say.

"Don't be, I had fun" He proclaim with a grin of his. I don't believe him, the way he is rubbing his forehead, I think it hurt pretty bad I go over to him. He is slightly taller than me so I had to stand on my toes. I rub my palm over his bump to soothe it.

He slowly removes his hand from the bump and looks me into my eyes. We blush again. It's getting awkward so I hurriedly let go of my hand from his head.

"I got to go, umm so bye and it was enjoyable talking to you Ash. Bye and have a great day ahead." I take off from there and run. "Bye, see ya soon" His voice trails off as he says goodbye for today.

I hurry home just in time when our college got over. I was just about to unlock my door when Darren comes up with a curious expression on his face, "Hey, You didn't come back to college after you got a call. What happened?"

I think of an excuse, "Nothing much, just uh girl problem." Actually I guess it's somewhat true.

"Oh I see, so back in college I had asked you something" Really dude you want to ask that again? I try opening the door. Success. "Umm mind if you tell me the reason now?" He looks at me with a new kind of determination in his eyes.

What the heck is wrong with this guy? I think I should tell him straight forward that I don't like him. "Listen Darren, Other girls may like you for your fame and name but I don't. Don't you get it? I am not love struck girl. And it doesn't mean I hate you. I just don't like the way you behave. The way you misuse your name and fame." Phew! Finally fewer burdens on my head.

"So if I change my attitude, will you like me?" "What?" I look at him in utter shock. "You heard me" "Darren, please just go." I am just tired right now to answer his dumb question. What does this guy think of himself? "So is it a yes or no?" He asks me.

"I don't know alright. I bet it will still be a no I guess, even if you change your attitude. I care a damn about you." I snapped. "Oh yea? 1 Week. Just one week and you will surely fall for me within that time. I challenge you." Really this guy is crazy, challenging me that I will fall for him. No way.

"Cut it out Darren. That's never going to happen. I will never fall for you. And if it a challenge; fine, I accept. If I win; you will have to move on and if you win; I hate to say this but I will be yours." "Fine. I accept. I know for sure that I will be winning in the end baby." He says with overconfidence in his voice. "So goodbye" I say and slam the door on his face. I bet he didn't see that coming.

I chuckle silently to myself and change in pajamas. What a weird day. I have my lunch and watch my favorite show.
