Unseen Pain

"Be healthy? Goodbye?"

Liu Feng's face twisted as he stepped out of the mansion he had once called his home.

"Ha! As if I'd give a sh*t if he dropped dead in front of me. F*ck that old man."

This overwhelming emotion he felt could only be described with one word:

Anger.

...

As the door shut behind him, Liu Feng's smile disappeared without a trace. He headed straight for the kitchen and kicked the door open. Seeing there was nobody inside, he made a beeline for the cupboards and rummaged around until he found what he was looking for. His hands grabbed a bag of sweets with every flavour he liked. Strawberry, apple, cherry etc. He dug around the inside of the bag for a certain flavour and soon found what he was searching for. In one smooth motion, Liu Feng tore the rapper off and stuffed the sweet into his mouth. As soon as the grape flavour spread through his mouth, he relaxed.

He leaned against a cupboard and drummed his fingers on the kitchen counter as he thought about where he would have to go to next. He had friends he could go to. Of course he had friends. A figure appeared in his mind before disappearing.

"Forget it. I've already burdened him enough."

Liu Feng ran his slender fingers through his hair, tousling it. He now looked quite wild, almost like a delinquent. His pierced ear and blonde hair definitely looked the part especially now that his hair was swept back with strands spilling over his forehead.

"Kyaa!"

A high pitched scream sounded behind Liu Feng making him jump up in fright. He looked over his shoulders to see a woman in her fifties dressed in a velvet-black evening gown and a white faux fur shawl. Her graying hair was bundled up into a loose bun and accessorized with a silver rose hairpin.

Liu Feng sighed as he took in her profile. It seemed that she was heading off to a dinner party. Her heavily mascaraed eyes and crimson lips were enough proof of that.

Her face had been powdered to the point that she looked ghostlike. A perfect match for such scum like his father.

"Good afternoon madam Su. I will be leaving after I fill my backpack with food. I wouldn't want to starve on the streets after all."

Liu Feng carelessly greeted his stepmother and explained his prolonged presence on her estate. Madam Su's eyes widened at that and she looked at him horrified. She pointed one long finger adorned with glittering rings at him.

"You-"

A servant rushed to cover her mouth and hurriedly whispered something into her ear. At the message, madam Su turned livid and stormed off to seek an audience with her husband, not forgetting to shoot a mean, ugly look at her step-son.

Liu Feng looked on disinterestedly. His backpack was now filled to the brim with canned foods, bottled water and a few sharp kitchen knives. Thinking to himself that it was time to go, he headed for the entrance.

Once he got there, he was greeted by the sight of his step-brother and a dozen servants.

"Brother," Liu Qing drawled, a bright smile on his pimpled face. "I'm here to wish you best on your search for a life outside this house. Servant, give it to him."

A little servant girl scurried up to Liu Feng and handed him his coat. Liu Feng removed the bag from his back and wore it. Paired with his cut up jeans and plain black shirt, he looked stunning. The servant blushed as she handed him back his bag and suitcase.

Looking chic with his unbuttoned coat and sweptback hair, Liu Feng headed for the door. Another servant hurried to open it for him. Liu Feng walked out of the house. As he looked back to say a polite farewell to at least the servants who cared for him, Liu Qing, with a smug smile sitting on his lips, slammed the door in his face.

*Crack* *Crack* *Crush*

Liu Feng crushed the candy in his mouth with strength fueled by anger. His expression dark, he spat the lollipop stick into madam Su's favoured plants and sauntered off with one hand on the handle of his suitcase and another in his pocket. Once he was far enough from the mansion, he stopped and a sinister expression appeared on his face.

"Be healthy? Goodbye?"

He unwrapped another candy and popped it into his mouth, grinding it with his teeth almost immediately.

"Fxck this place."

With that, he walked aimlessly into the distance, unaware of the figure trailing behind him.

I'm planning on releasing a chapter every day from today until October.
