New Year's Eve - That's a promise

[yawn] A sunny morning came up to their windows. Naoko wakes up early as usual and keeps staring at her while remembering last night's most embarrassing, exciting, unforgettable scene that time. While staring at her, she was smiling, perhaps her dream is romantically good.

"Wha- what time is it?" [blinks]

"Ohayo Kaiyou~"

" O...ohayo....did I overslept"

" No just in time"

" I'll take a quick shower....ha.." [yawn]

"We're about to get going I'll ask the servants to arrange breakfast "

" A-are we late?"

"Don't you worry, rest assured it's just a perfect time no need to pressure"

After eating breakfast they'd take a shower then prepare the car for a long drive to make sure that they're fully ready.

" So...cold..."

" Likewise...."

It was too cold and I couldn't even think straight, their blood vessels constricted, shallow breathing.

" S-should really head back it's too..."

" we must go back our parents our expecting us"

[sigh] They were now half way through and they decided to drive thru Mcdonalds , she went inside and used Kaiyou's ATM card because she insisted.

Before going inside....

"No use of mine!"

"What the fu-? I've been using your money these continuous 2 days"

" I told you depend on me use mine instead of yours"

As they keep insisting with each other Naoko's phone rings, Nobuyuki calls him " Yo! what time will you guys arrive here?"

" Uh...perhaps four hours more? We'll be there before the greeting dinner party."

Since Hiroshima going back to Tokyo will take nine hours and fifty one minutes to get there it was the same as getting to the hotel but there was no traffic so they drove smoothly.

Going back to their time...

[sigh]

" I'll use mine..my money and I'll treat you since you've done everything for me"

"...ok if you insist.." [lose]

He ended up using hers instead of Naoko's money, she has a point as well

At the cashier..

"Thank you for coming back again.."

" Finally a large food to eat"

" Let me help you with that." [picked up]

" This is yours and this is mine-"

[drives]

" Wait- what in the hell?"

"Just eat there, I'll drive, I can eat fries and feed me the burger.."

[confused]

"...well okay"

[mumble]

" I suddenly realized you ordered so much food?"

"Yeah..and?" because why not it's going to be a long drive, fortunately when they arrived there they would just eat again so Kaiyou was full enough to eat more.

"....." [speechless]

" If you have nothing to say I'll enjoy my snacks!" [smirk] continued eating...

He was speechless and really had nothing to say just...

" ...eat to your heart's content...then" [sigh]

" Very well thank you" [lol]

At this time there was traffic, all of the workers came all the way because it's Christmas and numerous people were going back to their provinces and houses.

" Damn it...tsk"

"chu...nou....wat....djsd..eat up first...itz..turafik...." she means to say is 'you know what eat up first it's traffic'

"Don't talk when your mouth is full Kaiyou"

" So?...eat up" [put inside]

" Hey ummm...." [chewing] "well maybe I'll eat up first" he was swayed by the delicious food.

" Ha see about that.."

[moving] The green light appeared and got going now.

"Oh there it is Nao "

[sigh] "Finally, a long time to wait.."

"I told you if you just eat your anger and stress will less haha"

"You're not wrong...gonna bite again...."

"What bite-"

[bites] he bites her neck while in the middle of driving "Hey you you're driving get your ass down !"

" huh? don't worry I can multitask"

" Don't make a fuss go drive DRIVE!" she was acting sensitive (when did this man know how to multitask in such a serious and dangerous place...) talking to herself.

"Ha.....sorry just joking I'm gonna get serious here.." [smirks]

"You...little....not gonna feed you anymore!" She gets annoyed with just a simple joke.

" Okay! okay! I'm sorry!" [holds] he holds her hand and kisses to show he's concerned and sorry. [acting innocent].

"Now drive, be serious with your surroundings!"

" Ryoukai!"

They finally arrived, Nine at the evening

" Yey you're now here"

"That was a long long drive Naoko"

" uh-huh....should we at least change clothes..."

" Oh my yeah we are sorry go on" their both parents were excited to know about the engagement.

[knicks]s

" Kaiyou-chan?" his mom called her.

" Uh..Yes mom?"

" How was it ?how did he propose to our precious girl-"

" Did he give you one hundred roses, Malishka?"

[talking] " Chotto matte kudasai..." she blocks it with her hands .[chatting]

Anastasia and Kazue were highly excited and delighted to hear everything, then rushing her to wear the arranged dress for her while chatting.

" WAIT ! "

"C'mon darling we wanna hear you"

" I'll tell you guys once I am done and rest"

[mumble]

" Our daughter doesn't wanna talk with us. Is that how your daughter treats elderly?"

" Wha-" [sigh] "....fine"

They became energetic immediately and helped her out changing clothes .

" Okay first things first, how did you know he's going to propose to you?"

"...mm...he was giving me his ATM card and let me buy what I want he said we'll go shopping but we ended up I was the one who is shopping the whole day then he treat me dinner at the top of the hotel...it was romantic-"

"Ohh sweet...."

" Romantic...huh...you finally said it Malishka!"

"um...let me finish first?"

"Oh okay, continue....." they both said.

[thinks] "hmm...then I suddenly like to shout because he's kneeling.. then he said Let's get married..."

While she was telling the whole story she was smiling even though it was kind of embarrassing to tell this scene..

" Miyazono Naoko....! don't..... "

While telling the whole story scene it made her so embarrassed in front of her mom "....I think I'll end it here it's so awkward

"Miyazono Kaiyou I'm looking forward to our marriage" He smiles brightly because he did it again to make her feel home and comfortable once again the feeling that it will never last.

" Then.. I'll ask you.. " he didn't get to ask earlier.

" Will you live with me and be together? Will you marry me? "

" Mom that's too much, why're you guys crying..."

"The...ring.....is Japan gold when your dad proposes to me it's just an Italian gold..."

"It's okay Anastasia-san you're very lucky your daughter is having my son right.."

[nods] the two mothers were supportive, meanwhile Kaiyou was doubting they're late now.

"Mom I guess they're waiting downstairs.."

"Oh my I completely forgot..."

[chitter chatter]

As they go downstairs all the men are staring at them, Tomio has a scary look on his face along with Michio but pretending to be.

"How long will it take honey?" Tomio smiled bashly.

" We are sorry boys...we're busy having a girl talk in her room. We didn't notice that it was time.."

" Shall we start the party?"

" We'll toast first!" Noah shouted

" Hold on Noah we haven't eaten yet,drink later.."

[nods]

" 3....2...1....MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!" They all began to eat and celebrate the rest.

On the other hand, Nobuyuki is with Ivan while Noah is having time with Naoko then Kaiyou is eating pudding. The elderly take their time to sing and dance.

" Noah gave me Naoko for a minute" Ivan was still being nice even though it's kind of a pain in the ass to ask him out.

" Oh c'mon now..." [sigh] "....okay fine whatever....."

They now have the chance to talk between brother and brother in law.

" Why did you want to talk with me....Ivan.."

He was curious about a sudden request. " I called because I want to discuss something important...."

" Something very important okay" [brightly]

" It's not that you should be jumpy...about it, it's a serious illness...."

" Why is it....illness? who?....you?..." [pointed] "Ah....it doesn't mean it's not like an..."

"I know...it's not me....." [looked at her]

" Who-" he turned around too and his eyes widened up and looked at him again and Ivan's face turned pale.

" Ivan, what's the meaning of this?" [serious]

" You'll know one day...."

" Why? why don't you tell me now?"

"It's not the right time and I am not the right person to tell you that..."

" Nevermind that you must be joking with me haha"

" You'll know if I'm joking or not"[smirk] " Just enjoy the occasion bye..."

"What's with him....what's wrong with Kaiyou?"

He still questions it even though it's clear to him that it was an illness he just let it go and as Ivan said, enjoy the night. ".....Nao!" He turns around then he sees Kaiyou smiling at him, just looking at her she looks fine ,it's because she's showing that she's fine and healthy . "Kaiyo....are you hurt somewhere?" to make sure if she's really okay.

Even so she said "nothing" then smiled yet she got the idea of why Ivan was talking with him looking so pale.

" I'm fine, why?" she spokes again.

"Nothing...." [hugs] "let's head inside, it's misty here." [nods]

" Children c'mere to eat the cake I baked."

" nice free baked cakes!"

" Noah manners..." [grab]

The celebration is done and time to go home. Kaiyo's family and her is leaving

" Did you forget something?"

" No, nothing see you again at new years eve"

[waves]

" Kaiyou!" He runs, then embraces her tightly. Even if it's painful to hear that conversation earlier with Ivan he'd leave that and protect her so she would not be lonely.

" See you my love...."

"mmm..."

New Year's eve..

"HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!"

The time goes by and it's finally the new year. They'd eat Toshikoshi soba, the most famous noodle, when it's new year's eve.

And some time later Naoko and Kaiyou went to the festival and celebrated shortly and came back to the house.

" Do you like it?"

" Yes! I love anything you give me"

[chitter chatter]

" Should we head home we have more time " [nods]

" Where did you two go? at a time like this?" [nags]

" Naoko my little brother, you didn't take me there!" [nags]

"a..hahahaha we...um..."

"Moms gave us permission to go to the festival..you guys are just jealous you didn't come" [smirk]

" Is your little sister really in this attitude?" [whispers]

" Uh...let her be...I'll scold her later..." [whispers]

" How do you scold a little sibling?" [whispers]

"Uh...it's different since she's a girl a one big scold on her doesn't seem to be good because she just goes to our father and reports everything I've done so there's no point of scolding her just...giving her scolding advice that's it.."

" What a pity."

"I know right..it's a little bit unfair for elder brothers.." The two have the same thing in common , hence, they relate to each other.

" Let's watch the fireworks" The dads said.

Everyone complied with each other and watched fireworks. A sweet and warm family combined and the two Naoko and Kaiyou will soon go back to school.

" Naoko.....have you ever talked to your friends in the student council?"

"yeah...they didn't even get to see each other since their family locks the door up so no one can go out haha.."

" oh..so you mean you too?"

"mm...but due to our occasion I said I will not come.."

" The time you were proposing to me?"

".....well yeah but it doesn't mean it's special for me to go with them they said I need to focus on my plan so..."

She was amazed by his friendship with the student council, unlike her even though she has friends, others were just using her and some are wanting to befriend her because her family is rich and get close to Naoko who is rich too.

Either way they are no match to her. She's now friends with the student council too and gets more friendly with Aoi and Mina since they were girls and have the same likings.

" I got a call from Mina and said she's having a pajama party soon because it's her birthday and she invited me.."

" Wow that's great then I'm not seeing you that day"

" It's fine we'll be going out after we graduate"

" Then we're going to get married right"

" Hey hold on don't you think we have college?! it's too soon!"

" Bear me a child soon too"

" Hey it's too early to stop it!!!"

" But I'll be studying college in France so wait for me....."

" Wait- really how come you didn't tell me..."

"I was planning to tell you that before senior high school but it was happened to decided it when I propose to you so you're already mine no one can steal you when I'm not around...." [shyish]

" Oh you.....it's fine to me..just make sure you study there and straight home there!"

" Of course I will even call you before and after I went to school" [smile]

" That's a promise?"

" That is a promise my love"

" Okay stop it...." [blush]

Then finally concealed and kept watching the fireworks, they made a promise which means it's a forever promise between the two lovers made on New Year's Eve.

" I will always stay by your side, Kaiyo" he smiled while watching the fireworks and held her hand warmly. Meanwhile Kaiyou was shocked and remembered everything she needed to do when that would be the last moment with him.

"Thank you...."
