next day

The dull sounds of the bell awake the person who was sound asleep. the empress opened her eyes. She could not sleep peacefully the whole night as she kept having nightmares and eventually she fell asleep near sunrise. When she woke up, her forehead was filled with sweat.

but still, with all this, didn't break her excitement for the show.

" your Majesty, are you awake" Yunnan her maid asked and went to help her.

"I want to bath, prepare the tub"

" as you wish your majesty"

After she washed up, she took a look outside. The sunny day in the mid-autumn seems unique and beautiful.

she smiled and said, " change to a set of bright clothes today we have a celebration, we must wake our highness up since it is time for leaving for the festival."

being an empress and an aged woman made her wear dark clothes a lot.

when everything was finished she got ready and left, excited about the show.

The pavilion the first prince is in was actually one of the deepest pavilions in the temple and was so quiet that there was not a single maid. When the empress saw it, her gaze was filled with satisfaction. It was assumed that these guards had handled matters very well that the maids were sent away.

If it was not that she was afraid the incident would be looked into, she could not wait to declare to the world immediately of what had happened inside. Because of the consequences, she could only suppress herself.

"Go and knock on the door." She said to her maid and a glimpse of revulsion flashed across her eyes.

She also looked down on females who had soiled their bodies but the first prince is a male so she doesn't care, only she cares about him suffering that even if he marries off, he will also suffer.

" your highness, the empress is here"

no sound came out, so the empress said " the first prince seems to be in deep sleep, enter the room and wake him up"

she couldn't wait for the maids to see the scene and gossip about it.

"your majesty" A deep voice echoed in the silence. the empress was surprised and thought that the voice came from the inside of the room but heard the maids speaking, "first prince and fifth prince"

both of the princes are wearing plain dark hanfu but still, it can not hide them from being true handsome men

the empress was also dazzled by the first prince and the fifth prince's dressing. She frowned as she said, "Why both princes are dressing so plainly? This is a dark and plain dress, if one did not know better one would think that the empire is poor for the princes to wear like this"

"your majesty however wore very brightly." the first prince said with a smile but his eyes can not hide the sarcasm in them.

the empress looked at her own clothes and suddenly remembered to be careful before sizing the first prince to not get such humiliated statements from him.

She did not know how both princes came back from outside and still had a look of calm. But they could bluff the others but not her on the happenings of yesterday night. She had the intention to confirm it so she walked up to the first prince and pulled his arms as she asked caringly, "Did the first prince sleep well last night?"

the first prince push her away " if you excuse me your highness but it is better to have a distance between us to not filth both of our reputation"

after hearing this the empress noticed her distance and got away from the prince " thanks for the prince's reminder I was caring a lot about you that I didn't notice, you are really kind so that this empress, pity not being your mother"

" even though you are not my biological mother you are still my mother and the mother of the empire"

" how sweet you are"

They both are chatting together sweetly that someone can get diabetes but it can not hide the sparkles between them like each one of them want to kill the other.

"by the way, Thanking for the empress's attention. The sleep was not bad." Xie Xuanwu smiled.

the empress carefully observed his expression and saw that his gestures were not fake before alarms rang in her heart.  How could he be this calm? Could it be possible that it was an act? She clearly heard the miserable cries last night.

Looking at Xie Xuanwu's pair of deep black eyes, a sense of anxiety suddenly rose from her heart, and this anxiety as if he knew everything which brought her confusion. She smiled as she went forward to his first prince and said, "I will be at ease since the first prince slept well"

feeling that something is wrong she swept her eyes around the surroundings and only saw the fifth prince's head maid and other maids but not the head maid of the first prince" this made her go alert that something is wrong, she turned her eyes and said, "Where did the head maid beside the first prince had gone to? Disappear so early in the morning."

" the head maid disappeared and never show up as for others I have let them go bring some porridge over this morning. Woke up early this morning and felt some discomfort in my throat."

"The kitchens are far away from here." the empress smiled, "your first highness is not the kitchens at the other pavilion?"

'' yeah I slept there"

" huh? does it means that you didn't sleep here? "

" oh? I didn't know that the empress cared a lot of other princes matter" a voice sounded and it was the general that came to Xie Xuanwu and half hugged him by the waist.

" my lover slept with me today since he is scared of being alone"

hearing this xie Xuanwu pinched him from behind with a glare ' you will see

the empress stood in silence and the general signaled to the maid that opened the door.

" DON'T OPEN IT" before the empress could continue the door was opened to see multiple naked men and after entering the room to see more, there was a female in the middle.

here the empress felt something terrible will happen, she glanced at the general that was staring at her with cold eyes.

still, in a state of shock a maid came and said " your majesty, the 3rd princess is not in her room"

the only female other than maids and empress is the 3rd princess who is spoiled by the emperor so she can only come.

the empress was shocked she understood what happening here " EVERYONE LEAVE NOW"

The general smirked and left with Xie Xuanwu in his arm " baby let's eat breakfast since your throat has some discomfort"
