138 There You Are

XueYa rushed up the small slope of a hill, hurrying towards the little city. Despite the cold wind that beat up the walls and roofs of two-story buildings, and seeped through the robes, freezing the very bones of the people frolicking out in the open, the streets were full of life. Patrons stumbled over the streets half-drunken, clothes and hair dishevelled in the still broad daylight.

XueYa ignored the people as he stepped over the passed out customers before one of the corner brothels and hurried up the three stone steps to rush inside.

Few of the workers flocked his way, slender arms brushing over his shoulders and clinging to his arms, but he quickly brushed them aside and hurried up the stairs, straight towards the back and knocked on the door at the end of the hall.

When a sharp knock didn't gain results, XueYa banged on the door.
