The Sorcerer Messes Up... Badly
"Old man, I thought you only worked in the court. You actually became the emperor?" XueYa singsonged as he stepped through the open doors.
A red fire crackled from his fingertips, coiling into a ball against his palms, waiting for his release.
"Stop him!"
The guards moved in unison, rushing towards XueYa with their swords raised.
XueYa clicked his tongue, visibly bored, as he watched the nearest blade swing for his neck. With a flick of his wrist, the flame crackled before it shot out of his palm, forming a whip that threw the guard into the air.
A loud thud echoed in the silence as the body hit the far wall before sliding out of sight.
