90 The Husky and Her White Snake, LiYue [3]

The sun had already set when the two emerged from the side street, both visibly flustered, lips swollen. Zhi ChangNing entwined her fingers with LiYue's, pulling the coy snake with her down the main road. 

"I'll escort you home. It's late, you must be tired," Zhi ChangNing said, giving LiYue's hand a little affirming squeeze. 

LiYue nibbled on her lower lip, the feeling of ChangNing's soft lips against hers still fresh in her memory. She wanted more but feared ChangNing thinking less of her if she pushed too far. Was it too much to ask? She wasn't sure. 

It had been ChangNing's first kiss. 

LiYue smiled shyly as she looked at their entwined fingers. It was her first kiss with someone she liked, too. The sensation was different, intoxicating. If she could, she would never let ChangNing pull away, break the tender kiss. It set butterflies fluttering in her chest, her skin tingling delightfully.
