1 PROLOGUE

"LAURA, YOU NEED TO WAKE UP BEFORE YOU'RE LATE FOR SCHOOL"

Her mom's voice echoed throughout the house.

"I'M UP MOM"

She screamed back.

"Dammit school again"

She sighed to herself and forced her way towards the bathroom to do her morning routine and empty her bladder. After changing and all that stuff, she went downstairs with her bag hanging on her shoulders.

"Morning"

"Morning darling"

Her parents replied, her father a man with blonde hair and green eyes the same as hers was reading a newspaper while casually sipping on some tea. On the other hand, her mom, a woman with brown shoulder-length hair and round eyes, was flipping some pancakes on the stove.

"Breakfast mom"

"just a minute"

Laura was not a morning person, and on top of that she did not like to wait.

"Mom, I'm hungry"

"Here you go"

She said while passing on the plate to her impatient daughter.

"Thanks, mom"

After stuffing her face with as many cakes as possible, Laura chugged them down with some orange juice.

"Eat slowly, you don't want to choke yourself now do you?"

Her father said while shaking his head.

"You do remember that today is the full moon, so you might find your mate, right?."

Her mom said, to which her eyes widened, clearly showing that she had completely forgotten about it.

"Just be careful, darling and don't hurt your self"

Her mom said

"I won't, mom"

"You know th_"

" I know, mom, don't need to worry too much. I'm a grown-up now".

She cut off her mom before she could start giving her 'that' talk. What's with parents thinking that when they meet their mate, the first thing they would do is jump each other?

She shook her head/

"We know that, but you still need to watch out, okay"

Her dad said. Lauren loved her parents to death, except that they cared too much, as they got worried over every little thing.

"Don't worry guys, I'm going now, goodbye"

She waved her parents off before starting her 15 minutes walk to school.

Today is the full moon, so she might find her mate, for which she was excited to the core and couldn't wait to meet her soulmate. She had been waiting for this moment her whole life. Just the mere thought of it made her all giddy and excited. She couldn't help the giggle that escaped her.

She shook off those thoughts and found herself standing before the school gates.

"Another day of hell, here I come"
