5 Beginning of Training the Body

The night passed quickly, maybe too quickly for some.

Suki groaned before leaning forward as some hair stuck to the front of her face. Her black eyes half closed as she looked around the room before her eyes widened.

"This isn't my house." She muttered before everything came rushing back.

"So, it actually happened. Dad, the clan. They're gone." She then looked around before finding a clock saying that it was 7:23, an hour since the academy would have started but today was a Sunday.

She got up and saw that she was still in the same clothes. So, she looked around the room before finding a few clothing items that would last her long enough to get new clothing.

She was now wearing a red t-shirt with a collar, tight black pants, blue sandals, before she put on the weights Gai suggested.

"I can mope and train at the same time." Was her defense on why she put them on in the first place. Not to mention, she really didn't want to have a repeat of last night. She figured that if she's left with nothing to do, she'll only think about anything and everything she could have done differently.

She thought back on her breakdown and already knew what started it.

"Up to last night, I still wasn't truly believing that this was real. That it was just a long dream. But the amount of emotions I felt proved to me that this couldn't have been a dream. Which set off a chain reaction where I realized that I could have saved Dad and maybe some of the children. Instead, I spent all of this time training and playing around. I could have just gone to the Hokage, told him before this even started, and the problem likely could have been fixed without this much bloodshed."

All while muttering that, she walked around, trying to get a feel for how to walk with these weights.

She stopped, eyes wide. "I can still change things."

She quickly went over things that could be changed. 'Nothing really big happens until the Chunin Exams.' Her mood dropped slightly. 'But if I do anything there, then the Leaf may not have a reason to send Naruto and Jiraiya to bring Tsunade back.' She kept pacing. 'I'll let time decide if Sasuke leaves or not, considering if I change that, most of my knowledge will likely be irrelevant.'

She hung her head. "The main important things happen in Shippuden."

She sighed. "Alright, nothing there to focus on. Let's focus on the now. Gai and Lee are going to be helping me, and maybe the other two if they come around, with Taijutsu, leaving me alone for Ninjutsu since I don't specialize in Genjutsu. The most techniques I know are Fire Style while I only know one or two Wind Jutsu."

She shook her head. "Enough. I already knew I would focus on Taijutsu more, so it makes sense that I don't know that many jutsu."

Little did Suki know, for a ninja to have that many techniques, especially of the elemental techniques, they are typically of Chunin level. Despite that, her control and chakra size are still just above a recent graduate.

She didn't really know how to start the physical training that is required for the Strong Fist. Luckily for her, she felt something in her right armband. She reached inside it before pulling it out and found it was a training regime.

"'To get your flames of youth burning, first start with 100 push ups, 100 sit ups, 50 left handed push ups, 50 right handed push ups, 100 jumping jacks, 100 crunches...'" She read aloud. "That'll take a bit of time. But something worth obtaining is rarely easy and I want to obtain their power in Taijutsu."

She started on the training thing in order and by the time it was finished, an hour had gone by.

She breathed slightly hard, surprised that just a little bit of weight is making her breath harder than she normally would.

"Alright, what's next?"

That's how the next 2 hours went by until she reached the last item on the list.

"'Circle Konoha's perimeter 20 times in one hour. If you fail, do 30 in 2 hours. If you fail again, do 40 in 3 and so on until you do it.' Good exercise, but very punishing if you can't do it." She stated before grabbing bottled water and ran out the door and jumping over the railing and landing on the ground.

She then started jogging towards the front of the gates.

-----------------------------

"Alright Lee! We're finishing up with 50 laps around Konoha!" Gai exclaimed.

"Yes Gai-sensei!"

They about started when a figure jogged past them.

"Hey, is that?" Gai started.

"My eternal rival! Even with what happened, her flames still burn bright!" Lee exclaimed. "If I can't do 50 laps before she's done, I'll do 100 laps on my hands!"

Lee ran off after her while Gai looked towards her.

Before he gained a slight smile.

'The burning flames of youth may have been dampened, but they are sharper now with a focus!'

--------------------------------

Suki was on lap 14 but only had 20 minutes left, telling her that she likely would need to do at least an extra 10 laps.

By now, she could say that her muscles were definitely awake and were complaining to her.

'Come on, this will be nothing in the future.' She thought to herself as she saw the gates approaching, indicating that she was about to start her fifteenth lap.

She slowed to a slight jog before opening her water bottle and getting a little bit of water but not enough that would have her stomach completely sloshing around.

"I need to get something to hold some of my hair back." She muttered, pushing hair that was sticking to her face out of her face.

She took a glance at the check-in clock at the gates and saw that she had 12 minutes to complete 5 laps.

So, putting her water back into a small bag she brought with her before continuing her run.

When the Sun settled above, indicating that it was around 2, she had completed 30 laps in 1 hour and 50 minutes.

Her arms and legs were tired but she could tell that she was slowly getting used to the weight.

'With this kind of training, I'll be able to up the weight in 5 days.' She thought. 'Before I know it,' She clenched her right hand. 'I'll be able to keep up with my Sharingan in a fight.'

One of the first lessons her father taught her, was that she needed to be fast enough to act on what her Sharingan shows her. It would do her no good to see the attack, only to be unable to avoid it.

'Now, to go get lunch.' She thought, heading back into the village, just missing a green figure running past her on their hands.
